Chapter 3

Tia POV:

I'm currently sitting in the living room watchin the news with my Mom when Cory called me, "Tia!" I groaned and walked to his room, "What's up?"

"I need help. Casey won't stop crying"

"Give her to me" I started to rock Casey in my arms. Cory looked at me and asked, "How do you do it? I'm a Dad and I can't even get her to stop crying I don't know what to do" I looked at Cory and sighed, "Cory look I get it being a teen parent is hard but you've done a good job being a dad and you did good the other night too feeding her, burping her and putting her to sleep. Now I didn't get pregnant at your age but I know that it's difficult. How's Hayley doing?"

"Obviously and she's ok she's always tired on nights that she has Casey especially school nights too that's when she's extremely tired" Cory said running a hand through his hair

"I'm sorry. For the both of you but that's teen parent hood for you and speaking of Casey she's fast asleep. Wanna take her back and put her down?" Cory put his arms out and I placed her in his arms, "Alright get some sleep you have school tomorrow"

"Night Tia"

"Night" I went back downstairs and mom was sitting on the couch. 

"Mom are you gonna get some sleep?"

"No I'm going to stay up a little bit"

"Alright. Night Mom"

"Night" I kissed her on the cheek and went to my room. I grabbed my laptop and started looking for houses or apartments with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom or a 3 bedroom and 2 bath. I found one that was a 3 bedroom and 3 bath but it was $615, 000 and that was way over my budget I kept it at least 500, 000 the rest of my money was in my bank account. I started to search and I found another house it was a really nice house, it had 2 bedrooms and 1 bath and it only cost $219,000 which wasn't bad. I contacted the agent and asked to see the house. I set up a date and got off the phone.

I'm pretty sure Mom's not going to want this stuff. Trying not to make too much noise I turned on the garage light and started looking for boxes to put the stuff in. I know that we have a storage that we don't use so I was thinking of putting the equipment and gear into storage so if I get the house than I can move all of this into the garage. I looked again and realized that I couldn't quite pack the equipment yet so I packed the gear first. I went back to my room and packed a few pairs of my clothes in my bags. I have 2 extra bags in my car for emergencies so the bags that I packed I put them in my car. I walked back in the house and went back to my room. I turned the lights off and went to sleep, praying that I would get the house.

The next morning I got up and changed into a pair of shorts, with an amber almost orange colored one shoulder shirt, I put on some brown heels and some earrings. I let my hair down and walked out in the living room.



"Thank god it's the weekend. Sis are you going somewhere?" Cory said

"Yeah, you wanna come?" I asked grabbing my car keys

"Sure. Let me get Casey's bag" I took Casey and went to my car, I made sure to strap her and then jumped in the driver's seat. I started the car up and waited for Cory. He came out of the house with Casey's bag, he placed it in the back seat and jumped in the passengers side. The realtor gave me the address to the house even though I saw it online. I pulled up in front of the house and saw the realtor waiting.

"Tia, you found a house"

"Not sure yet but we'll see" I walked over to the realtor and introduced myself. She introduced herself and got straight to the point. I like how there was a fence around the house, we went inside and to the right was a small living room area, to my left was the kitchen, looking down the mini hallway that led to the 2 bedrooms and the bathroom across from the front door was the dining room, I looked at the back yard and there was a lot of space for me to train and to practice with Cory if he ever came over. When we were done looking the realtor said that we were the first to look at the place. I immediately told her that I wanted to buy it. She and I sat down and started talking. She had me sign some papers and in the end I got the house. I went to some stores and brought, house supplies, cleaning supplies, kitchen ware, towels, things for the bathroom and bedding for the beds. I already went grocery shopping too. We came back to the house with a lot of bags. I didn't buy any furniture yet but I knew I wanted something in the garage to hold all of my equipment and gear so that people don't steal it. 

We didn't bother unpacking the bags except for the food. We were tired and we each had an air mattress set up in our rooms. Cory was too tired to go back home and I was to tired to take him back home. As tired as we were Cory said he wanted to move in with me but I told him no and I'll buy him things for his bedroom and for Casey and he can still stay with mom. He was currently in the bathroom giving Casey a bath, a few minutes later he walked in my room with Casey in his arms and her baby bag.

"Can you change her please. I'm going to shower" I grabbed Casey and started drying her off then I changed her when she was done I was baby talking her and making funny faces. I brought her to my face and kissed her on the cheek. Cory came out of the bathroom a few minutes later and took Casey from me.

"She's going to Hayley tomorrow" he said

"I know. How long does Hayley normally have her?"

"Till the afternoon on Thursday and then we get her"

"I'm glad you guys figured out a way to make things work, especially since you're both in school"

"Yeah Hayley and I were thinking of getting jobs. The days she has Casey would be the days that I work and the days that we have Casey would be the days that she works"

"That's good but I don't want the both of you to stress out about it. Your both parents and you'll have to juggle school, work and taking care of Casey. I know that you getting Hayley pregnant was an accident but you guys had a miracle. Right now focus on school, graduating and taking care of Casey. We'll handle everything else"

He nodded and stood up, "Night Tia. I'll see you in the morning" 

"Night Cory" I heard him getting situated in his room and then it was quiet. The next few days will be furniture shopping and looking for furniture. I spent so much money on everything else I'm going to need to make more in order for me to buy some furniture. Tomorrow I'm training with the kids again so it's a start. I'm going to have to get the rest of my things from my room at the house tomorrow. I didn't think I'd get the house this fast and I didn't think I'd move in so quickly. I'll thought out how I was going to organize and where I was going to put things as I made my way to the bathroom Cory opened a bottle of body wash for himself and some things for Casey. I unpacked whatever was in the bag that was for the bathroom and organized it a little bit then I jumped in the shower. I walked out of the bathroom a few minutes later and went into my room. I was changing and heard Casey crying I threw on my shirt and walked to Cory's room but he turned the light on and opened his door, "I got it Tia" I nodded and went back in my room. Casey quieted down after a few minutes.

I walked out of my room one more time and made sure to lock the door and windows. I looked in the kitchen and started to put things away in the kitchen plates, bowls, and cups in the cabinets. I also put some of the eating utensils in one of the drawerI don't know how I managed to do this without waking up Cory or Casey. After doing whatever, I finally go back to my room, turned the lights off and laid down. My tattoo was still healing so I had to make sure not to lay on my back or on my side. I turned over and laid on my stomach instead. Casey started to cry again and I heard Cory get up. I see the way he struggles with taking care of Casey and taking care of school but I give him credit for being a good dad.

I stayed in my thoughts a little while longer until I started to doze off. I checked the time and it read 12:00 a.m. I put my phone down and closed my eyes finally letting sleep take over after a long and tiring day.
