Chapter 16

Kaleo POV:

"Kaleo!" I groaned and opened my eyes but quickly shut them from the bright light and then slowly opened them again. After surprising Tia with Corys car and his license I also realized that I had to come home because I had to keep an eye on Kayla. I rolled out of bed pulled on a pair of jeans and walked out of my room.

"Kaleo?" I heard a raspy voice trying to yell my named

"I'm up" I yelled back. Kayla walked around the corner and looked at me.

"Ok one you need to stop losing your phone, two Tia called asking if you and I wanted to join her and her brother folks for dinner tonight at Kona Inns" she said sounding like kermit the frog

"Ok thank you for finding my phone, I'll call Tia later and aren't you supposed to be in school?"

"Yeah about that I don't feel good I have a frickin headache, I have a fever, from the sound of my voice my throat is sore and I have the chills and if you don't believe me feel my forehead" I placed the back of my hand on her forehead and for sure she was burning up. 

"Alright go lie down and I'll go make some soup or something" I said, she nodded and went in the living room and laid down on the couch turning on the T.V. I placed a blanket for her before heading into the kitchen and making something for her. I made her tea to help her with her headache a little bit. I made chicken noodle soup to help sooth her throat. I placed the cup of tea and the bowl of soup in front of her on the coffee table.

"Thank you" I went back into my room and put on a t-shirt. I wanted to do some cleaning and I called Tia she answered on the first ring, "Hello?"

"Hey, are you doing anything?"

"No why?" she asked

"Did you wanna go to the beach for a little bit?"

"Sure, when though?" I heard drawers opening and closing

I looked at the time that said 10:30 a.m. "In an hour"

"Ok, am I meeting you at the beach?" this time I heard rustling in the background

"Can you come over?" I asked biting my lip hoping that she says yes as cringy as that sounds but hey I can't help it I love her I just won't admit it her yet.

"Sure, I'll be there shortly"

"Ok great bye" I said a little too excited.

"Bye" I started off with my room and then in the living room, organizing and cleaning I wanted to make sure that the house was spotless. I cleaned the kitchen next and the bathrooms last Kaylas room I didn't need to worry about because she keeps it clean. I made sure that I hit every nook and cranny in my house. I checked the time again and it read 11:00 a.m. Kayla was watching some horror movie I smiled to myself and started to stalk towards the back of the couch to scare her.

"Don't even think about it Kaleo" I heard her say

I pouted and leaned down in front of her face blocking her view from the T.V. "How'd you know I was gonna scare you?"

"I knew plus you were walking around and cleaning the house like a mad man earlier so when I heard you were silent I assumed you were in your room or you were gonna try and scare the shit out of me."

"Tia's coming over and we're gonna go to the beach. Will you be ok by yourself?"

"I'll be ok just as long as I can move and make it to the kitchen, I'll call you if I need anything. Go spend some time with your girl Kaleo" she said with a smile on her face. I stood up and walked over to her I placed a kiss on her forehead and said, "Don't forget to get some rest please"
