Destined for you (Book 3)

Chapter 10

Kaleo POV:

It's been a week since I took care of Tia. My sister wanted to go camping for a few days so we're packing our bags and staying at Volcano National Park. 

I finished packing my bag and put it in my truck I went back in the house and started to pack some food in a cooler while I was doing that I called out to Kayla, "Kayla? You ready?"

"Almost. I'll be out shortly" she yelled back. I finished putting whatever in the cooler just as Kayla came out of the room with her back pack and duffle bag, "Ok now I'm ready" I nodded and she took the cooler from me and went to put it in the truck I made sure we weren't forgetting anything before locking the door and getting in my truck as well.

We stopped at KTA and brought a few things. The ride up to Volcano National Park was long and far from Hilo when we got there I signed in and paid for a cabin. After getting the cabin number I drove my truck to the parking lot and parked it outside where the cabins were. Kayla and I unloaded my truck and went to our cabin. Against the wall there was a bunk bed, there was a shelf on one side of the bed and outside we had a grill and a table. 

I looked at Kayla, "Top or bottom bunk?"

"Top Bunk" she replied quickly I nodded and placed my bags on the bottom buck. Kayla started to set up her bed and then climbed up. I set up my bed and placed my bag on the shelf.

"Hot dogs for dinner sound good?" I asked as I started to head out of the cabin

"Yeah" I looked around and realized that it's been a while since we've stayed up here. I saw another car pull up and park a few stalls away from my truck. I saw Tia's brother get out of the car and another girl came out of the car from the back. 

"Tia?" I called as soon as she came out of her car, she turned and looked at me.

"Kaleo?" I smiled and waved. Kayla ran over and hugged Tia. I walked over and Tia introduced us to Hayley Cory's girlfriend. 

"What are you guys doing here?" I asked

"They wanted to come see, you know walk around, visit Tutu Pele" she said I nodded my head. Kayla jumped in and said, "We're camping up here and you guys should stay for dinner we're eating Hot dogs"

Tia and I looked at each other and chuckled, "We'll see" Tia said Casey started to get restless in Cory's arms, Hayley took her from his arms and gently placed her in her stroller. 

"Alright we should get going she's starting to get restless, but we'll see you guys later"

"Bye Tia, see you later" I hugged her before she left. Kayla hugged her and said bye to Hayley and Cory then went back to the cabin. I watched as Tia guys walked away then I went back to the cabin. Kayla grabbed a volleyball and tossed it to me I caught it and we started playing Volleyball.

A few hours later Kayla and I started to get hungry so I went and grabbed the hot dogs and got the grill ready. Kayla grabbed the hot dog buns, ketchup, mustard, and relish and placed them on the table. She brought out plates, drinks, and cups placing them on the table as well. As I was cooking the hot dogs, I saw Tia guys walking back to their car. Cory and Hayley were getting Casey settled. Tia walked over to me, "Hey"

"Hey, you guys wanna stay for dinner?"

"No it's ok, I gotta get Hayley home Casey's staying with her" I nodded. I placed the hot dogs in a foil pan

"That was quick" Kayla said taking the pan and sitting down at the table.

Tia looked at her car and then back at me, "I should get going before the baby gets fussy again" 

I nodded and she started to walk away but I reacted and grabbed her wrist slamming her to my chest, "Kaleo?" she hesitantly wrapped her arms around my waist. 

"Drive home safely" I said she nodded her head against my chest and I released her. She looked at me and smiled then walked back to her car. I watched her drive away and joined Kayla for dinner.

"You really do like Tia?" Kayla said with a smirk playing on her face

"Is it that obvious?" I asked back

"Yes, Kaleo why don't you tell her how you feel?"

"Because I don't want to rush things"

"You're not rushing things, all you're doing is telling her how you feel and besides she likes you too"

I knew Kayla was right and I noticed it too I just didn't have the heart to say anything. I want to tell her how I feel but at the same time I'm not sure with her feelings a part of me believes and knows that Tia feels the same way but at the same time another part of me doubts that she does and if I tell her how I feel now I feel like she'll shoot me down. Kayla snapped me back to my senses, "Kaleo, tell her how you feel" I nodded and she stood up. She threw her plate away and went inside

I continued to eat, Kayla came out of the cabin with a towel and her clothes in her arms, "I'm gonna go shower" I nodded and she walked away, I finished eating and stood up to throw my plate away. I cleared the table, went in the cabin and grabbed a towel and clothes. 

I got to the bathroom and went straight to the shower and clearly the water isn't warm, it's cold but it's not a problem for me. I got out of the shower a few minutes later and changed. I left the bathroom and walked back to the cabin. Kayla was lying down on her bed. I shut the door and locked it and turned the lights off. I got into bed and I heard Kayla shift above me.

"Night Kaleo"

"Night Kayla" I heard her shift again and was met with silence a few minutes later. I closed my eyes and went to sleep with Tia on my mind.
