Destined for you (Book 3)

Chapter 14

Kaleo POV:

Tia and I are currently at the store buying groceries and things for her niece since we're babysitting tonight. Her brother is going to hang with his friends for the night. Tia also wanted to do some Christmas shopping since Christmas is around the corner.

"Kaleo can you grab a box of diapers please" she asked and then continued to walk to another isle. Her brother is at the house waiting for us to get back. Tia made sure that we brought everything that we needed before we paid.

When we got to her home we had a lot of groceries, Cory came out and grabbed the baby stuff while Tia and I carried the groceries in. Tia started to unload some of the bags and started to put the groceries away she did leave out spaghetti since we'll be eating that for dinner, Cory made a bottle for Casey and started to feed her before he left. 

"Cory why don't you get ready I can feed Casey" Tia said once she finished putting the groceries away, I started to work on making dinner for tonight.

"Ok thanks Tia" Cory handed Casey over to Tia and went to his room, while I was making dinner I was watching Tia with Casey I never realized how good she was with kids I mean I watch her train with kids in the gym but seeing this side of her taking care of a baby was a whole different story she was gentle and showed a side that I've never seen before. I could see it already her and I  with a baby of our own living in a bigger house. 

"Kaleo, you don't wipe that goofy smile off your face your food is gonna burn" Tia snapped me out of my thoughts

"Oh shit!" I watched the food this time making sure that I didn't burn anything I heard Tia laughing in the background and talking to her niece. Cory came out wearing a white hoodie and black skinny jeans. He went over to the door and was putting on his black converse.

"I should be back around 10" he told Tia and kissed Casey on the cheek before telling Tia bye

"Bye Cory be safe and make good decisions" she called out with a sarcastic laugh coming back as her answer, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, see you later Tia, bye Kaleo"

We said bye and he shut the door. I finished making dinner and sat down next to Tia, "So does he have his license yet?"

"No not yet, he wants his license but he has his permit and he's really good at driving. I'm thinking of getting him a car for Christmas"

"What kind of car does he want?"

"He wants a Jeep Renegade" she replied while adjusting her niece in her arms

"Has he been asking to get his license recently?" I asked her

"Yeah he's asked me a few times but I never had the chance to take him to get it done" I nodded and walked to the kitchen. I made a bowl for Tia and I and placed it on her dining table. She came over with Casey in her arms and sat down.

"Dinner's good"

"Thanks"

"What are you thinking about?" she asked me. I looked at her she put her fork down and stared at me. I finished chewing what was in my mouth and swallowed I cleared my throat and drank some water

"Nothing"

"You sure?" she asked with a raised brow

"Yeah, yeah don't worry about it." She nodded and picked up her fork again. After dinner she put Casey to sleep and went to take a shower, I sat in her room and waited for her when she came out of the bathroom she was wearing a hoodie and shorts. She threw her clothes in the laundry basket and walked out of the room. I heard her washing the dishes and putting away the food. I got off of her bed and went in the bathroom to take a shower.

I let the warm water run down my body for a while. I heard a knock on the door

"Come in" I heard the door open and the water from the sink run I popped my head from the side of the curtain and smiled, "Hey Babe"

She looked at me with her tooth brush in her mouth she rinsed her mouth and looked at me, "Do you need something?"

"Yeah, do you guys have any towels?"

"Yeah let me get one" she left the bathroom and came back in with a towel draped on her arm, she placed it on the counter and finished brushing her teeth when she was done she left the bathroom again. I turned off the water and grabbed the towel wrapping it around my waist. I walked out of the bathroom back to Tia's room to find it empty I changed into a pair of sweats and a t-shirt that I had in my bag. I walked into the living room and found her sitting on the couch watching T.V. I sat down next to her and wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

A few hours later the door opened and Cory walked in.

"Oh, you guys are still awake"

"Yeah, we were watching a movie" Tia replied

"How was Casey?" he asked while taking his shoes off and placing it on the shoe rack. He walked into the kitchen and made a bowl of spaghetti. He sat down at the table and started to eat.

"She was good, she gave us no issues at all" Tia stood up and walked to the kitchen and made a glass of water.

"How was hanging with your friends?"

"It was good until they decided to do some stupid shit. Me and Karen stayed out of it. She was saying that we should tell the parents and I agreed so when we were dropping everyone off at home Karen and I told the parents what their kids did of course our friends were pissed at us and dropped Karen and I off last"

"Well you did the right thing" she said

Cory stood up and washed his bowl he hugged Tia and went in the bathroom, we heard the water running so I went into Tias room. I heard her locked the door and the windows she turned off all the lights before she walked in her room. Cory came out of the bathroom and popped his head in the doorway he saw us and smirked

"You two a thing now?" he asked

"Yeah" Tia said climbing into bed. Cory lightly chuckled and turned the lights off.

"Night Tia, Night Kaleo I'll see you two in the morning" then he shut the door. Tia turned in my arms and hugged my waist I wrapped my arms around her and held her against me. I kissed her forehead and murmured a good night to her before falling asleep.
