Birthdays to me were always bittersweet. Celebrating with friends and family is always a great time, but it just felt like a piece of something was missing.

Mom. Samantha.

She stopped wishing me and Asher happy birthday's when we were ten, we got cards until we turned thirteen. Birthdays always came with happiness, but they also came with a sense of disappointment.

But this one, this was all pure happiness.

"Look at my baby go," Zoe sang as I danced while doing my hair. We were at Kenzie's house this time to get ready, Eleanor was popping in and out since she was getting my party ready.

"I honestly don't deserve friends like you guys," I say as I finished curling my hair. "You guys are too good to me," "It's your day! We always go full out for each other's birthdays. It's how we roll." Kenz shrugs "What she said," Zoe shouts from the bathroom as she put on her dress.

"Perrie should be stopping by soon, is Mads coming with us?" I ask Kenz and she nods "She should be here soon."

I finish pulling my hair up into a ponytail and I start on my makeup. Zoe put her dress on before doing anything and just danced around for awhile. "Helloooo!" I hear Perrie shout from downstairs "Maddie is pulling in!" "We're upstairs gorgeous!" Zoe shouts back as she actually sat down to straighten her hair.

"Hey ladies and the birthday girl!" Perrie cheered setting her bag down then coming over to hug me. "Happy birthday! If we were in England, you'd be able to drink." "Eleanor wants us all to go to Mexico for spring break since we can drink," I laugh "but thank you babe." I grinned as Maddie walked in.

"Pretty girls!" she cheered and then ran over to me "Happy birthday!" She gave me a hug "Thank you Mads!" We all spread out and continue to get ready, no sign of Eleanor just yet.

"Did El say where she was having the party?" Maddie asked "She said at homecoming she wanted to make it like a club. Maybe the barn?" I say "Knowing her it could be anywhere," Zoe muttered while doing her mascara.

"Thena your phone keeps going off!" Kenz says by the outlet where my phone and her phone were charging. I got up and walked over unplugging my phone and I checked my phone for texts.
