Chapter 7 (CRUSH-AT-FIRST-SIGHT)

ROSS' POV

-5 months later-

It's been 5 months since I became friends with Laura and now we are officially best friends! Isn't it great?! And if you are wondering what happened to me and Megan, well we are still friends and still sit next to each other in History class. But lately we've been hanging out alot! Earlier, she just invited me to go with them, a.k.a The Populars, on dinner and on the mall. And I said "Yes". I mean how can you not say yes?!

Laura: "Hey Ross, wanna help me out later at my house? I'm gonna give some of my stuff to charity, they will pick it up tonight and I need you to carry the boxes for me. Please..." She said in a sweet yet hopeful tone while smiling at me.

I smiled a little bit.

Ross: Sorry Laura, as much as I want to go and help you out, I already made some plans with Megan tonight.

Then her smile disappeared.

Laura: "Oh... okay... it's fine. I mean it's just carrying boxes right. I can just ask someone else." She forced a smile.

Ross: Are you sure?

Laura: Yeah...positive.

Ross: "Thanks Laur! You are seriously the best!" " I better go now, see you later Laur!" I said as I walk towards my next class.

LAURA'S POV

I just forcefully smiled at him after he rejected me. And when I said I'm okay, I'm definitely NOT OKAY! I can't believe he chose Megan over me, his best friend! What can I expect, Megan is a popular and more beautiful than I am. Ross will definitely choose her over me. 'Okay... just forget about it!' My brain said to me. And for the first time since forever I kinda agree with my brain without arguments. So I just shrug off that thought and walked. Now where can I find a guy who can carry those heavy boxes for me?

As I'm about to go in to my next class which is Art, I bumped into somebody and fell on the floor.

???: "Oh my gosh! I'm sorry." He said while giving me a hand so that he can help me up.

I grabbed his hand and when I look up I saw his gorgeous face. I saw his kind eyes, his amazing brown hair and his nice smile.

???: Hi I'm Nick. You're Laura right?

Laura: "Yeah... how did you know?" I said while slightly blushing.

Nick: I don't know if you've noticed me but we are classmates in Art Class.

Laura: "Oh... sorry..." I turned red because of embarrassment. Why did I not even noticed him before?!

Nick: "It's OK... most people don't really noticed me because I sit in the corner at the back of the class." He answered as if he heard my question.

Laura: Oh...

Then the bell rang signalling the classes will start now.

Nick: "Well we should get inside now... don't want to be late." He smiled.

I just chuckle and get inside. But instead of sitting at my usual spit which is at the front. I sit next to Nick at the back.

Nick: "Why are you sitting here?" He said kind of confused.

Laura: I want to sit here... Is there a problem?

Nick: "No... not really... I'm just shock a pretty and smart girl like you will sit in the back next to me." He said with a smile.

I kinda blushed a little at his compliment.

Laura: "Thanks..." Still blushing.

Then our class started. We did some activities. But I can't stop think about Nick, about how cute he is and about how sweet he is. I can't believe I'm saying this but I think it was lov- WAIT... not yet LOVE! Let's just make it to... ' CRUSH-at-first-sight' when I met him...
