Chapter 15 (Strike Two)

MEGAN

So now Ross and I are officially in a relationship. I'm happy but I also kinda feel guilty about what I'm gonna do to him. I dont really want to do it because I like him but that's what I need to do. I know this is for the betterment, for OUR betterment... I really hope so...

Megan: Hey Ross since tomorrow's saturday, can you come with me to meet up with the other populars?

Ross: Sorry Megan, I have other plans. I'm gonna meet up with my friends.

Megan: But WE"RE your friends.

Ross: I mean my other friends: Laura, Ellie, Miranda, Luke remember? I already told them to meet me tomorrow.

Megan: "Oh yeah them... But I'm your girlfriend. Aren't you suppose to spend more time with your girlfriend than your other friends?" I said as I cling my arm to his arm.

Ross: OK... you're right. I think they would understand. I'm just gonna text them to cancel our meet-up tomorrow.

Megan: "Yay! Thank you!" I said as I kiss his cheek. "But you can text them later, I really need to go home now..."

Ross: Ok

So far... so good... I think the plan is going well. Ross is going to the right direction, our direction.

ROSS

I felt bad for canceling our meet-up with Laura, Ellie, Miranda and Luke. But I guess they would understand. I'm currently walking with Megan to her house. And after few minutes, we reach our destination. We say our goobyes but before leaving she gave a peck on my cheek. I smiled at her gesture and walk home still having that big smile on my face. When I reached home, I directly went to my room and jumped on my bed, falling asleep instantly. Remembering only the moments I have with Megan today... nothing more, nothing less.

LAURA

I woke up feeling excited well not really... who am I kidding, I'm excited! I'm currently looking for something to wear today because today is a special day. I can't believe Ross wants to hang out with us again!

-Flashback-

Ellie and I were walking towards my home because we were having our study session last night when suddenly Ellie's phone rang then after a minute my flip phone also rang. We turned on our phone at the same time to reveal it was a text message from Ross. It said we were gonna have a meet up tomorrow. We didnt realize that we've already arrived at my house so we got in and continued talking in my room.

Ellie: So Laur, are you coming tomorrow?

Laura: "i dont know..." I said quite unsure.

Ellie: Come on Laur! Maybe he wanrs to meet up because he wants to say sorry.

Laura: "It's not that easy. After what he did to me. to us... i dont know what to feel.

Ellie came closer to me and stroked my back gently.

Ellie: I know Ross has been a jerk lately but maybe he realized his mistakes and he is willing to change now. Maybe he just wants our forgiveness so that we can return back our friendship. The point Laur is... Just give him another chance.

I sighed but nodded after a while.

Ellie: YES! 

She screamed as she hug me. That's what I love about Ellie. She always looks on the positive side and she will always support you no matter what happens.

-End of Flashback-

Once I found a black dress with sunflower print I quickyly put it on and paired it with my black flats. I fix my hair a bit and when I think I look presentable enough I went to the mall hoping to see the person I miss so much. 

When I arrived at the food court, the place where we suppose to meet, I saw Ellie, Miranda and Luke.

Laura: Hey guys! Did Ross already came here?

They shook their head in unison as their response is No.

Laura: "Well ok then! Let's just wait for him while... doing something else!" I said trying to brighten up them but still quite unsure on what we'll do.

They all said OK and continue doing whatever they are doing. And then there's me... still uncomfortable... looking around to find any signs that Ross is here.

ROSS

It's been more than an hour since I hangout with the populars. I had so much fun! That's until Bernard camt to me with a stern face. Then he started yelling at me.

Bernard: Hey Lynch I thought I told you to stay away from Megan?!

Ross: Who are you to tell me what to do?! I like Megan, she likes me too! So buh-bye!

He was about to punch me when Megan arrived and the other populars stop him.

Megan: Stop it Bernard! I've told you a dozen of times that I only like you as a FRIEND! And if you can't respect that, then you can just leave the group.

Bernard calmed a bit then said his "Sorry" and left a few minutes.

Megan: Sorry about that... I hope you still enjoy our meet-up.

I smiled at her but after a second my smile turned into a frown.

Meet up... Meet up... Meet up...

Oh my gosh! Laura, Ellie, Miranda, Luke! How could I forget?!

Megan: Ross what's wrong?

Ross: i forgot to text Laura, Ellie, Miranda and Luke that our meet-up is cancelled! I gotta go to the mall!

I was about to leave when Megan stopped me.

Megan: Then just text them that it is cancelled. I'm pretty sure they'll understand because they're your friends right?

Ross: I don't know... I kinda feel bad for them.

Megan: Come on, you're enjoying here right? With me? If they are really your friends they will understand.

Ross: Ok fine... I'll just text Ellie.

She smiled at me and I began to text Ellie.

LAURA

It's already been more than an hour but there's still no sign of Ross! Where is he?!

As if on cue, Ellie received a text.

Ellie: Guys it's a text from Ross!

She then began reading it out loud.

From: Ross

To: Ellie

Sorry guys I kinda forgot to tell you that our meet up today is cancelled. I really want to come but I have other plans that I have to attend. I hope you understand and I miss you all.

We all sat there with mix emotions. I can't believe this! Why would he do this to us?! I should have known! 

This is strike two Mr. Lynch... STRIKE TWO!
