Logan
"I still need you, but just as friends." My heart crumbles. Seeing her again, kissing her again, made me think that things would go back to normal, but I was wrong. She wanted to just be friends. It was hard enough seeing her tonight, but I can't live another day without her. I want more.

"Okay." I'll just have to get used to it. It'll be hard, but I need Ayla. She keeps me sane.

"Good," She smiles. It's a sweet smile. "I've gotta go, I've got an early photo shoot tomorrow." I can tell in get tone she's exited.

"You have a photo shoot? Already?" I ask her. Why does she have to leave?

"It's a short one. I'm only their until 10:45." She says in an attempt to humble herself.

"Well why don't you come over to my place afterwards and we can grab a bite to eat." Wait, did I just ask her on a date? Friends can go get food together.

"Logan-" she starts.

"A-as friends of course!" I cut her off.

"Well okay then! Sounds like a plan! See you tomorrow!"

"Okay see you then. Bye, I lov-..." dang it I can't say that, "See you at 11:00!"

The Next Day
"Heyla!" I say while giving Ayla a smile as she walks in my apartment. Her makeup is heavier than normal, must be what they put on her at the photo shoot. She has a cropped pink halter top on with a white skirt. It looked really good on her.

"So..." she says bringing my attention backup to her face. Oops, I was staring.

"We should go." I say trying to make things less awkward. I stand up, grab my backpack, and put my shoes on. I stand by her at the door. What do I do now? Should I put my arm around her? Should I hold her hand? She looks up at my face and smiles at me. The smile was sympathetic, but it quickly turned into a playful smile. I love it when Ayla's in a playful mood. By the look in her eyes I can tell she's planning something.

Ayla
Logan and I stand awkwardly outside of his apartment door. I can tell he wants to hold hands. I can tell it's taking everything out of him not to. I smile at him. At first the smile is sympathetic, then it turns into a playful smile as I lightly slap his arm. "Tag!" I tell then I shoot down the hallway.

I press the elevator button multiple times, but it didn't come fast enough, Logan caught up to me and tagged me back. Of course with my luck the elevators opened right after he tagged me.

"The elevators are base!" He yelled as soon as I got in. I narrowed my eyes at him and knit my eyebrows together, the smile still plastered on my face.

"Fine. Then the restaurant is also base, where are we going?" I ask him. I have a great idea.

"Jersey Mike's Subs," He tells me. That's always been my favorite restaurant on Vine Street. The elevators ding open, now's my chance.

"Tag!" I say tapping his shoulder and running out of the elevator. I run through the lobby and onto the sidewalk. Logan's following close behind. I take a sharp left and run all the way to the restaurant.

I get in the doors of the restaurant just as Logan taps my hand. I turn around and look at him, his hand still on mine. I look up at his face and can tell he wants to hold my hand right now, he wants to be more than friends, but I'm not ready.

I look down at our hands again. I begin to move my hand away, he takes the hint and moves his. "Tag?" He asks.

"Nope! I was in here already! Better luck next time!"
