Chapter 36

I woke up the next morning and my mum had already decided she was sending Michael and I too school.

I swear to god, I didn't want to go to a place were I was just going to get loads of sympathy off of people who have never even gave me a second look.

It's bullshit.

The one person that was preventing me from freaking out was Michael.

He just kept whispering soothing things in my ear and rubbing circles on my back.

I was still In a lot of pain from the accident but it wasn't stopping me from walking.

My car crash was apparently in the paper and in the news as I look through my twitter notifications.

I had several tweets from people saying kind things and wishing me my best and it put a smile on my face.

"Hey, it's good if you get out, we need a bit of normality in our life's don't you think?"

I thought about what Michael said thoroughly and he was right.

I'v been through a crazy amount of shit since I moved to this school, good and bad.

From the crazy shit with Jake, to falling In love with his best friend, who I thought hated me, In fact I was certain he did.

And then there's loosing my first true friends, which was horrible, but the fact that I have a group of friends that I care about more than I can ever explain makes up for it.

Me and Michael have been through a lot, and we even nearly broke up.

But in the end we realise we need each other, I mean I never meant for this to happen, we were just close friends, I was never suppose to need someone this much but I do, and it's not going to change.

Michael is a big part of my life and hopefully he feels the same way.

"Yeah." I smile at him In agreement.

"We need to have a good time or something." I grab his hand and we both decide to walk to school despite the aches in my body.

The wind is cold on my neck and I let out a shiver. Michael instantly notices and pulls me closer to him until we arrive at school.

We sit down at a table with all of his friends and mine.

They all ask me how I'm feeling and I'm over powered with questions and I try to answer them all.

Michael realises how flustered I'm getting and places his hand on my thigh.

I smile a little, realising that even though there is loads of people around Michael and I, we always seem to be in our own little bubble, comforting each other and not even having to speak to understand what we are both feeling.

"So that Alix girl is having a party and we are all going ok, no excuses." Abi says and I almost choke.

Alix is one of my worst enemy's.

"No way in hell." I say and everyone argues and protests talking about how I have to come and that I don't have a choice.

"It would be a good time, we were talking about how we need one of them." Michael whispers in my ear and I realise that he is right.

"Ok." I sigh.

Everyone cheers and I roll my eyes.

"I'm only going for us." I whisper to Michael and he smiles smugly.

"Okay. we can all get ready at mine!" Danielle shouts and the girls cheer.

After school Michael went home to get some of his clothes and I went home to choose an outfit for tonight.

I was going to go shopping but I have a lot of dresses that I haven't already worn.

When I got home I explained to my mum about the party and she wasn't to happy on letting me going.

"Han, it's a bit to soon, you're still flinching every time you walk."

"I know mum but everyone wants me to go, so I'm going."

She rolled her eyes at me and I went up the stairs before she could say anything else.

I looked through my things and found a white dress and some red heels and put the outfit in my bag along with my make up.

Michael came back to mine with a bag of clothes.

"I'm going to Danielle's now." I say quietly and he nodded his head.

"Be careful?" he says, although it sounds more like a question.

"I always am." I smile and he pulls me In for a hug, kissing my forehead.

"I'll see you there." he tucks my hair behind my ear and I smile, taking my car Keys and heading off.
