Chapter 1

Bae Mirae

"Yah! Bae Mirae wake up, I don't want to be late in the first day of my high school"I heard my annoying cousin shout from downstairs.

"I am up"I shouted back as I walked out of my bed. After showering, I changed into school's uniform and headed downstairs.

My aunt and sehun were having breakfast. "Uncle left already?"I asked my aunt as I sat on the chair  next to sehun. "Yes, he had meeting in office, so he left early"My aunt answered as she passed me bowl of rice and soup."Hurry up and eat, I'll drop you guys to school and head to hospital"Aunt said and I hastily ate the food. 

After eating food, aunt drop us to school. "I won't be able to pick you guys, so take bus and come home okay?"Aunt said to both of us and we just nodded."Sehun take care of Mirae and Mirae take care of sehun okay"Aunt said to us as if we were primary school children.

"Mom we aren't elementary school kids, we can take care of ourselves"sehun said and I nodded in agreement. "Okay! whatever, I am leaving"Aunt said and drove off. Busy life of a doctor.

"My friends are waiting for me, so I am going and I can't go home with you, I have plans, So go home alone "Sehun said and left me alone. I was wandering in  the hallway like a ghost when I saw a familiar back not so ahead of me. I ran towards her and slapped back  her head.

She turned her head frowning, she was about to swear out loud but she ate back her swearing when she saw me. "Yah! Bae Mirae can't you greet me properly once?"She asked while hissing. "Nope"I showed her my tongue. "You never told me, you'd be in this high school"I told her. "I didn't know by myself too. I just came to know about it  yesterday. "She told me.

"Anyways I am happy you are here, Inha-ya" I told her and hugged her and she hugged me back. "Now lets stop this dramatic reunion and head to auditorium. Juniors are asked to be in auditorium by  8:45 and its 8:38 already. So lets go"She said and pulled me with her towards the auditorium.

As we reached auditorium, most of the people were already there. I and Inha took seat in middle row and the ceremony started with principal's speech. After listening to principle's speech for like for 2 minutes, I started feeling drowsy. So I started playing with my phone.

After 30 minutes speech, he finally stopped talking. "Now lets welcome Park chanyeol and Byun baekhyun from second year to perform the welcome song."Our MC said and two guys entered the stage. One played the guitar while the other started singing.  As soon as that guy started singing my heart skipped a beat. No way..

I nudged the Inha who was enjoying the performance. "Why?"She as me as she faced me. "Inha-ya, I think I'm in love"I told her while trying to control my blush. "What?! who?"She became excited. "That guy who is singing" I told her. "Baekhyun sunbae? Do you really like him?"She asked with not so good expression and I just nodded.

"You got crush on wrong guy mirae-ah, he is the coldest sunbae here in the school. He never talks to girls and those girls who especially like him, he hates them"Inha told me. EH? he can't be that bad right?

Whole ceremony finished with me and Inha gossiping. She literally stalked him on Instagram. Before ceremony ended, we were informed that we'll have regular classes from coming Monday and today is Friday.

"Do you want to go shopping?"I asked Inha as we walked out of the auditorium. After that performance, I didn't see baekhyun sunbae anywhere. "I can't. I have family party to attend"She gave me an apologetic smile and I just nodded.

She and I parted way when we reached the gate. She walked to her car while I walked to bus stop. After waiting for 15 minutes, the bus finally came. I took seat by the window while plugging the earphone not caring about the surrounding. Someone sat next to me but I was busy to care.

I was watching people walk by as the bus moved. Most of them were couples holding hand and being loveydovey. How would it be if I do the same stuff with my crush? holding hands, hugging each other, kissing. Only thinking about it makes me so happy, what if it becomes real??

While I was busy dreaming my future with my crush, I felt someone's head on my shoulder. I turned my head and saw someone I'd never expect. It was Baekhyun sunbae. Is it fate?

I tried my best not to scream. My crush is sitting next to me and his head is on my shoulder.It feels like a dream. If it is then, I just don't want to wake up from it. 

I was staring at his face for few minutes. He looks so handsome. His eyes, nose, lips even his forehead is so perfect. How can a guy be so perfect. When I was busy admiring him, he woke up. I turned my gaze back to window, playing it cool. He got off my shoulder and mumbled a sorry. 

After that awkward silence engulfed the place.  People started getting off the bus. He and I were the only people left on the bus. It was last stop, so he and I both got off the bus. He started walking and I followed him. Not like I am stalker or anything, its just that he is walking in the same direction where my aunt's house is.

He kept on walking and I walked  behind him. We were walking in awkward silence for last five minutes. Well, you can't blame me, its just that I don't have courage to go and approach him. I am too shy in this kind of things.

He stopped walking and went inside his house. My aunt's house was just next to his house, that it when reality struck me, he is our next door neighbor.
