Chapter 29

"Mirae-ah, I love you."I confessed my heart to her.

"I may not have expressed my feelings in past but I ready like you Bae Mirae. No scratch that, I love you. In past I've may not have been a good boyfriend who expresses his feelings but I promise I will a good one this time. I'll shower you with my love so please take me back. I really want to be with you forever"I continued expressing my feelings but I got no response.

Suddenly she pulled her hands from mine and stood up. Without saying a word. She ran away. Yes, she literally ran away.

As she ran away I was dumbfounded. I literally froze. I didn't what to do. Should I run after her?

After few minutes when my brain processed everything 1that just happened my heart started feeling heavier and heavier. My legs gave up and I fell flat on the mat and my eyes started sweating.

Was I just rejected?

I literally ran away. I know it was cruel of me but I had to. If I had stayed few more seconds, I'd ran into his arms accepting his love.

Why I didn't do that?

Well I want to test him for one last time. I want to know how he'll react after getting rejected? Will he still chase after me or give up?

If he decides to chase me and confess one more time, I swear I'll run to his arms kissing the hell out of him. But if he decides to give up on me then I'll move on. Eventhough it will be million times difficult, I'll move on for good.

I am sorry for testing you oppa.

I got a cab on the main road and reached home after an hour. When I got home, it was totally silent.

I sneaked in and locked the door slowly and headed to my room. I changed into pjs and went to sleep.

Next day when I headed downstairs to get some breakfast, aunt wasn't home so I made toast for me and sehun. I was low-key expecting him to show up but he didn't.

After breakfast, we took the bus. Sehun followed me my class to meet his love of life.

Sehun and Inha were spending time in class while I was sitting on my seat doing nothing. Other days Jackson would be here giving me company but he wasn't in class yet. Maybe he is running late.

After 20 minutes Mr Kim came to class and chased away sehun as he did last day.

"Class result of last term is pasted on the notice board, be sure to check it after class. Failures have to give re-test which is on next Friday so be prepared"he announced to the whole class and started teaching.

Class were boring as usual. I was looking forward to recess instead.

After next 3 classes, it was finally recess.

I and Inha along with sehun headed to notice board first. We checked the list and my name was at first followed by Inha. Sehun was in 5th rank followed by Jackson, Jaebum and Jinyoung in 6th, 7th and 8th rank respectively.

Lol! I never knew we were bunch of nerds.

At cafeteria, chanyeol sunbae followed Baekhyun sunbae along with jaebum and Jinyoung sat with us.

"Where is Jackson today?"I asked jaebum who was slurping his soup. "He left for hong-kong last night. Didn't he tell you?" Jaebum gave me a confused look and I shook my head.

"He must've texted you"Jinyoung told and I looked for my phone but it wasn't there. I must've left it in my locker.

"I'll check it after lunch"I said and continued eating. Today, Baekhyun sunbae was unusually quiet. Is he giving up already?

We were in the middle of eating when a girl from his class came to our table and handed him strawberry milk. I thought he wasn't going to accept it but he did. He even smiled at her and that moment I wanted to rip off that smile along with the girl.

Suddenly I lost my appetite so I stood up from the table and left without a word.

I headed to locker to get my phone to check the text from Jackson. As soon as I read the text, my heart clenched and I couldn't help but shed tears.

Mirae-ah this a goodbye text.
I've always liked and i've tried to express it in every possible way so that you could acknowledge it.

But..

You never did😢

No matter how hard I tried you never saw my love for you so i've decided to move on.
I am moving to hong-kong for good.

I can't help but feel bad about this.  After wiping my tears, I headed to our floor. On the hallway I saw a girl cornering a guy. I decided to mind my own business so I walked straight but I stopped on my track when I heard a very familiar voice.

"You know you're very pretty right?"As soon as heard him say that, I turned back and I was right it was Baekhyun sunbae and he was with the girl from earlier.

She was flirting with him and he flirted back. Not knowing what to do, I ran to girls washroom trying not to sob in the middle.

I am not giving up on her. I decided to use my last weapon, jealously.

There is a girl in my class called Jung Noeul who actually ships me and Mirae. She asked me what happened to us? And I told her Mirae broke up with me.

She said she'd help me get her back so we planned to make her jealous. When she left frustrated after Noeul handed me strawberry milk, I couldn't help but smile in victory. One step closer.

I and Noeul waited for Mirae in the hallway. When we saw her in the hallway Noeul acted to flirt with me and I flirted back. As she turn back, I saw jealously written on her face. I couldn't help but grin. One more step closer.

After crying my heart out in one of the stalls, I've decided it. If he will move on then I'll move on aswell.

I washed my face and headed to Mr.kim's office. After knocking twice I got inside.

"Is the offer still valid Mr. Kim?"I asked him trying my best to not break down.

"Yes" he nodded.

"Then I will take it"
