Chapter 23

Bae Mirae

I woke up feeling nauseous and dizzy. When I looked around, I found myself in a familiar room with IV drop connected to my arm. As I sat straight on the bed, my eyes landed on Inha who was sleeping at the edge of my bed peacefully. I didn't wanted to bother hersleep  so I stayed still watching her sleep trying to remember what actually happened.

Then just like flash backs in the movies, everything flashed before my eyes. How I teased baekhyun oppa by pretending to drown and how he believed me and then how I suddenly got a cramp and actually ended up drowning.

After waiting for another half an hour, Inha finally moved. She opened her eyes and we had an eye-contact. 

"Thank god you're awake Mirae-ah"She said a bit dramatically and hugged me and I hugged her back.  I was about to pull back but she didn't let me go.

"Thank god you're safe mirae-ah, I-I thought I lost you"She was literally bawling in my arms. Aish! This dramatic emotional shit. "I am Fine Inha-ah, so stop crying"I wiped her tears as I pulled back from the hug.

"So how long was I asleep?"I asked inha who was busy cleaning her snot, just kidding, she was wiping her tears. "Three days"Inha answered me. "Do you think I'd dramatically cry if you were asleep for a day?"she added.

"No at all."I couldn't help but chuckle. "So how do you feel now?"She asked me as he handed me a glass of water. "Fine but a little dizzy"I said as I sipped some water.

"Good to know. Let me go and call everyone. They've been worried"She said and ran out of the room, probably to tell everybody that I am awake.

Not even after a minute people started entering the room. Sehun came running followed by Inha, Chanyeol sunbae, Jinyoung, Jaebum and Jackson. Where is baekhyun oppa?

Sehun ran towards me and pulled me into a big bear hug. "Thank god you're awake"Sehun said in the same tone Inha used ealier. "Ofcourse"I giggled and hugged him back. "How can you be so clumsy Bae Mirae?, how can you let yourself drown carelessly? What if you died?"He scolded me like a big brother and lightly hit my head.

"But I am alive right?That's all matter"I gave him sly grin. "You should be thankful to Jackson for that"He scoffed and  glared at me. Jackson saved me? I was hoping it to be baekhyun oppa.

"I be careful from next time so stop being grumpy"I said to him and asked him to smile to which he just gave me a light smile.

Chanyeol sunbae, Jinyoung and Jaebum gave me light hugs telling me that they were glad that I was fine.  

Jackson came to me and pulled me into real tight hug that I couldn't breathe. "Jack-son I can't breathe"I said and He finally let go of me. 

"I am so happy you're okay mirae-ah, I don't know what I'd have done if something happened to you"he said as his voice cracked as he wrapped his arms arounds me. Hearing these words from Jackson's mouth seemed so weird.

 It feels like he likes me but that not possible right? I mean he knows I like baekhyun oppa. He must me reffering it as losing a friend and here I am thinking nonsense. Pabo! mirae.

"Jackson I am fine now"I assured him as I lightly pat his back. After sometimes he pulled back giving me a small smile and I did the same.

"Chanyeol sunbae, where is baekhyun oppa?"I asked chanyeol sunbae as baehyun oppa was nowhere in my sight. 

"About that Mirae-ah, Baekhyun left"Chanyeol sunbae rubbed his neck. "Left to buy things?"I asked him totally confused.

"Ani, he left for seoul. Exactly the next day  afteryou were unconscious"Jackson answered instead of chanyeol sunbae, and his tone was cold and bitter. I couldn't help but feel a pang in my heart after hearing that.

"He must have something important to do"I mumbled but nobody said anything. "Mirae-ah, enough of talking. You should rest now. We are leaving tomorrow evening so you need to rest."Inha said and I did as I was told.

Everyone left the room, and I was left alone. My eyes landed on the wall clock which showed 10:30 pm.

No matter how hard I tried not to overthink about baekhyun oppa I couldn't control myself from thinking about him. What was so important that he left? Did something big happened?Thinking about different things I didn't realise my eyelids getting heavy and I fell asleep.

Next day when I woke up it was 11 am already. After freshening up, eating breakfast made by chanyeol sunbae and Jackson and packing all my belongings it was already 3:30. We are leaving in half an hour, so I decided to spend the rest of time near pool area, relaxing.

I was  busy in my own world  when I felt tap on my shoulder. I turned my head and it turned out to be jackson. "We're ready to go, lets go"'he helped me stand up and without uttering anywords we headed to the car.

After an hour of ferry ride, we reached gyeopko. After unloading our luggage, we got inside chanyeol oppa's van which was parked at the gyeopko port. It is going to take three hours to reach seoul, I decided to sleep during the whole ride.

I woke up when I fault someone poke my arm. I opened my eyes and saw Jackson. "We're here Mirae-ah"he said as he got out of the van. 

As I got out, Our house came into my view. "Mirae-ah lets go inside your house, today I am sleeping over with sehun"Jackson said as he got luggage from the trunk. "Jackson-ah go aheah, I need to see baekhyun oppa"I said and walked to his house without glancing back.

I rang the door bell twice, and Mrs. Byun was the one to open the door. "Oh! Our future daughter-in-law is here"She gave me a playful smile. "Anneyonghaseyo"I greeted her and walked inside.

"Is baekhyun oppa home?"I asked her. "Yes ,he is in his room"she told me. "I'll go and meet him"I told her and she nodded. 

I walked to his room and knocked on his door twice.

Byun Baekhyun

 "Its open"I shouted as I heard the knocks on my door. Why is mom knocking on the first place?She never does that.

But turns out it wasn't mom who knocked the door but Mirae. As I saw her face, feeling of relief gushed through my veins. Thank god she is fine and healthy.

She walked towards my bed and took a seat next to me while I pretended to be busy with my phone texting someone. "Baekhyun oppa"She called me and I shifted my gaze from my phone screen to her. "Oh! you're back"I muttered and that came out cold as I was intending it to be.

"Yes, I am back"She said softly. I want to hug her tight and kiss her badly right now but I have to control myself. I can't let emotions take over me. I was the reason she was in the danger so I have decided to stay away from her.

"Why did you leave early?"She asked me breaking the silence. "I just felt like it" I told her coldly. Yes, I am being a jerk but I don't have any choice, I need her to hate me so that she'll stay away from me.

"Just felt like it? There I was almost dying and you returned back because YOU JUST FELT LIKE RETURNING BACK?"she lost it. "YOU didn't even think that I'd be looking for you when i wake up but you left because you felt like it"SHe scoffed in disbelief.

"Yes I felt like leaving so I left, what's the big deal about it?"I glared at her. Yes! Baekhyun you're doing fine, make her hate you.

"Oppa you tell me? what am I to you? do you even care about me?"Her voice broke making my heart break into pieces.

"You are nothing but a Nuisance Bae mirae. And I don't care about you, not even a bit"I spat bitterly and tears started flowing down her cheeks.

"Ah! Nuisance, I see"She said in the most heartbreaking tone and left my room without turning back.

I am sorry Mirae-ah, forgive me but I had to do this, you got in danger because of me, I can't see you in danger again because of me.  I am sorry!!
