Chapter 4
"I think I should go now, you can meet my mom some time again," I stood up quickly and attempted to get out of the room. And of course, like I expected, they halted me.
"We're coming with you!" Kim said.
"There's some kind of emergency," I chose the words carefully, hoping that they would believe my lie.
"Emergency?" Grace repeated. "Then we should really go! Who knows what might have happened if it's an emergency!"
Crap.
How was I going to get these girls to leave me alone for the time being?
It was Dalton's fault.
Why was he here anyway?
He had the worst timing ever.
"What are you waiting for, Lani?" Kim grabbed my arm and dragged me with her. "Let's go look for your mom!"
And what sucked the most was that I couldn't even think of something to do. I didn't know how I would be able to get out of this situation. "What took you so long to get here?" I mentally face-palmed myself when I heard his voice.
"D-Dalton?" Kim, Dalton's number one fan, stuttered. "What are you doing here? Who are you talking to? Are you talking to me? Am I dreaming? Oh my God! Pinch me!"
"You're not dreaming, Kim," Grace gulped. "I can also see him,"
"Umm..." I thought of the right words to say but maybe there were no right words. "He's probably talking to me..."
"What?!" they screamed at both sides of my ears.
"I'm Dalton," the devil smiled, clearly proud of himself to be known. "You girls are?"
"K-Kim,"
"Grace,"
"Thank you girls for bringing my girlfriend to me," he clearly emphasized the word 'girlfriend' to piss me off some more.
"G-Girlfriend?" Kim stuttered once again. "You mean Lani?"
"Of course," Dalton grabbed me from them and placed an arm around my shoulder whilst I was still analyzing the situation. "We've got to go now! See you later!" he led me outside my school and when we were already out of sight, I bit his arm. "Hey! What'd you do that for?!"
"I bet they hate my now," I mumbled. "It's all your fault!"
"They won't hate you," he guaranteed.
"What makes you so sure?"
"Trust me,"
"Whatever," I rolled my eyes at him. "What are you doing outside my school anyway? I need to meet up with my gang later,"
"No can do, princess," he smiled. "You'll spend the rest of your free time with me,"
"What?!" I yelled, not caring even if I caught the attention of some people walking by. "That's not part of our deal! I need my gang!"
"You don't really need them," he said. "They're bad influence on you,"
"And who are you to tell me who to be friends with?"
"Your boyfriend,"
"You're not my boyfriend!" I reasoned. "I need to have some time with them! They are my friends! You can't expect me to be with you twenty-four hours a day!"
"Not twenty four hours a day," he started to walk and I tailed behind him, frustration was obvious on my face. "Just during your free time like after school, weekends, and such,"
"Are you insane?! That's almost the same!"
"Think whatever you like, princess," he said. "But you're coming with me,"
"And if I don't?" I made a huge mistake when I asked that question. When he answered it, it made me more frustrated.
"I'll tell your parents about you,"
Damn you, Dalton.

"She's here again?" Dana sulked. "You really want trouble, Dalton,"
"Shut up," I fake glared at the tanned-boy. When Dalton first introduced me to them, we became sort of close. I didn't expect for the six of us to be friends either. I didn't have the problem of spending time with them but I still had my gang too.
"Feisty, aren't we?" Cole chuckled. "I see that Dalton dragged you into my house once again,"
"I didn't have a choice," I sighed. "He's got a trump card on me. He's so evil,"
"Not as evil as you, princess," Dalton commented. "You guys agree?" the rest of the guys nodded at his question. "You're in a gang, I'm not. You're the evil one,"
"Whatever," I rolled my eyes. "What do you guys have in mind today?" I didn't bother to hear their answer because my attention was on my phone.
'Where are you? You haven't showed up for two days already.'
It was a text message from the gang leader. Before I could even reply to him, my phone was snatched away by Dalton himself.
"Oh, who's this?" he asked as he ran far away from me as possible. "A member of your gang?"
"Give that back, Dalton," I glared at him.
"You should give that back, bro," Gabe said.
"It's her personal space," Will backed me up.
"I'll just give him a reply, wait a minute," I ran towards him at full speed but unluckily, he already hit 'send' because he gave it to me when I reached him.
"What the hell did you reply to him?!" I yelled at him. "He's my gang leader!"
"I think you need to see for yourself," the devil smirked at me.
And when I went to the sent items, I saw a message that was one of my doom.
'I don't need the gang anymore, I quit.'
