Chapter 4: "I going to act as if I've understood you!"

I woke up by feeling the sun's rays enter my skin and burn the flesh inside of me. I eternally groaned, knowing that i have to get up from my comfortable bed and leave for school.

I lazily got up from the bed that was begging me to stay and sleep more but i still went to freshen up and wore a crop top superman hoodie and my blue classic jeans with my superstars on. The reason i really love wearing my superstar is that it makes me look taller! To be honest, I'm a pretty short person?

When I reached down the stairs i took a big breath and made a
'I'm tired of life' face which i usually put on every morning when i have to leave for school and dragged myself at the kitchen, noticing, again, that my mom didn't cook. I signed loudly not caring if even the neighbors heard it! If we have one...

I remembered dad telling me something about not having anything in the fridge. As i walked around the kitchen, a certain bright yellow sticky note held my attention.

"Buttercup, me and your mother are leaving for an emergency patient and will probably be back in a week or two. We didn't want to wake you up so i wrote you a note...at least you won't think we left forever! Lots of love! Don't miss us too much...focus on your studies and BUY PROVISIONS!! love you!（〜^∇^)〜 from dad." i read the note aloud, rolled my eyes at my father's childishness and nodded in understanding before groaning again and letting myself fall on the love seat behind me.

"I got awesome parents! I have no idea what i would do without them!" I sarcastically said to myself before finally letting my feet lead me to the door and leave the house.

"Hey Alex!" I heard a familiar voice yell behind me as i was keeping the key in the usual place, i slowly turned around for some reason and face the girl  who called for me. "Astrid!!" I yelled back, suddenly feeling the energy burst into me and i walked to her with my bag pack slinging on my arm.

She had worn a black top stuck inside her black ripped jeans, her of course, famous black leather jacket, which she adores, a black snapback, worn facing backwards, black and white converse and her ray ban on the tip of her nose to look at me, struggling with my stupid bag. And she also had her classic faux black leather bagpack. Guess she was all black today.

But the question is, what is she doing here??

"Al you're probably wondering what am i doing here, right?" As if she read my thoughts, she asked "Yeah!" I said, walking up next to her.

Damn, i realized how tall she is even though I'm wearing the high shoes. I was about a little bit above her ear-

"-Nath got into trouble again and i actually just wanted to pay you a visit!" She interrupted the thoughts in my head and asked with a smile "Are you ok?" As i was about to reply that i was fine, my stomach said the other way round, it made a sound so loud that even Astrid heard it and she started to laugh. I grabbed it to at least make it stop but it was of no use.

As she kept on laughing, i started walling away, looking down, admiring the molecules of the road.

What? I'm a science student...of course I'll think that!! And by the way so was she, that's why most of our classes are together! Amd we get along real well!!

"It's fine Al! Didn't your parents make you food today? They always do, don't they?" She asked when she had finally stopped laughing and caught up next to me. I sign "Yeah! They do but...just got a note from them saying that they have an emergency patient and they'll be back in probably one or two days!" Her smile turned into a frown "and that also means, no food for a week...or maybe even two!!" i continued when her eyes widened in surprise "that means you won't have food for a whole freaking week unless you buy some? Unless you know how to cook...but then again you'll need to buy groceries!!" She exclaimed and facepalmed
