Chapter 16: A promise stays a promise...

"This is actually really tasty!" I said as I took the, unfortunately, last bite of my pancakes, I closed my eyes savoring it till the last bit, "I had a bad idea of bringing you here! You literally look like you are going to explode!" Nath stated the obvious as he looked at me.

I rolled my eyes at him, "oh yeah! Is it my fault that You decided to buy two chocolate fondant?"

"I was hungry and you literally ate everything!" I looked at him, sighed and said sarcastically, "Says the one who ate half of my pancakes and the all the nutella including the waffle that Daniel's likes to eat! And you say I ate everything!" I rolled my eyes.

"Ok fiiinne... I admit that I had eaten these things but then don't you deny the fact that you took both of the chocolate fondant and ate it all by yourself!" He admitted and I sort of agreed with that. Because it is true... He ate my delicious pancakes, I ate his chocolate...we are basically even, right?

"we are even!! you ate mine, I ate yours! simple logic..." I grinned at him and looked at my now empty plate, "see what you did? Because of you, I got nothing left in my plate" he stared back at me deadpanned. He then playfully rolled his eyes at me then again flashed me one of his beautiful smiles but then it was all ruined by someone.

Namely, the queen B of our school. Beatrice Stones. And of course, her little minions hot on her heels.

"Heeyyy Nath!" She purred.

Literally purred. Is she like a cat or something?

"What do you want, Beatrice?" I could clearly see how pissed off he was. He did not even look up to see her face and just thought that it would be best if we were having a staring contest at that same moment.

I looked between the two of them and stifled a laugh, only to earn a glare from Beatrice and a really cute smile from Nath. Like a good person I am, I grinned at him earning even more glares.

She rolled her eyes at me and scoffed. "That's really unlady like Bea! I thought you would at least know that," I let the words slip my mouth without even realizing. Sometimes, my mouth just does not want to cooperate with me!

"What would you even know about girls?" She crossed her arms and looked at me, continuing, "You don't even look like one! We can't even tell if you are one," She said thinking that it would perhaps affect me in any way but having seen your parents die in front of your eyes, is way worst than her petty insults.

I laughed at her comment, "Who asked you for your opinion? I sure didn't... Did you Nath?" I looked back at him to see him trying his best not to crack up, he forced out a yes before I returned to her, "See, No one wants you here... Now if you can get out of my way," I shooed her away with my hands and saw Jeremy coming back to our table, "Nathaniel, if you could come here more often with the beautiful lady here," he gestured towards me, "then maybe, it'll be on me," he winked at me and I chucked making Nath's frown become deeper.

"I think that it's time for us to leave now," He grabbed my waist and dragged me out of the restaurant, but before we could leave, Beatrice just had to add her own little pitiful thoughts into this," You call her a beautiful lady...Are you fucking blind?!-" she was abruptly cut off but the manager who literally came out of nowhere and had put her hand in front of her face, which, by the way, I had found unbelievably funny and couldn't help but chuckle, "Jeremy, could you go to the east side, they are having a birthday party for their five year old daughter, I want them to have a good time... I'll try to stop this havoc!" she said the last part glaring daggers at Beatrice, Jeremy nodded and did as he was ordered.
