Chapter 13: Flashback

"Are you okay? You look like you are about to throw up?" Astrid asked while a smile was on her lips, "This is what happen when I exercise too much! I have a face that says 'I'm giving up on life ' and now I think that I will love Mr George's training more than yours." I said, exhausted as we sat on the bench, under the shade.

"Hey, it's not my fault that George decided to put me in charge! And I think he knows that you guys won't listen to whoever he would have put in charged from your class!" She simply stated and ate another cheesy burger she took out of her bag, "One, why do you have a MacDo burger I your bag, two, that sure is true and three, isn't that your second burger?" Amazed was pretty much the definition of the facial expression that was on my face.

"Um I bought three earlier, before your training, I gave you one and yeah I am eating my second burger, why did you even ask about that? I play three different sports so I need a lot of energy and protein!"

As I took in all the information she gave me, I really wonder why she does do many sports and how does she keep her grades up. I thought about it for a while and I think that I should just give it a try and ask her, what harm can it do, right?

"What happened that night?"

She looked taken aback for a while, she quickly swallowed the piece that she was eating and coughed. She took a deep breath in and looked back into my eyes. She looked like she was about to tell me everything that I wanted to know, "What do you want to know?" She asked, putting the burger into its box again.

"How about the first things first? How come does the other guys don't remember about this? When I had gone to ask them, they look as if they heard it for the first time."

She mumbled something under her breath which was quite un-understandable. "I should have known, can't they make it less obvious?" She mumbled again but this time it was clearer for me to make out what she said.

"I'm sorry Alex! I think I might have to go for a while, I'll see you tomorrow at school! Okay? I just have something to complete and I had completely forgotten about it!" She said in one breath as she gathered the things to leave. I couldn't believe her, I thought that she would finally tell me something about it but why don't they ever just spill the beans and tell me what's up with them all the time?

"Astrid! Why are you being like this?" I questioned, "I just asked a simple question! Why are they being like this. That's all I am asking for you to tell me! Why is nobody answering that?" I forced the matter. "It's none of your business, Alexie! Why don't you just stop this already?!" She suddenly burst out.

She signed and said again, her face softened a little, "I'm sorry, okay! Could you just not ask me that? And I'm sorry again but I have something to do! I'll meet you tomorrow!" she turned around and walked away with her backpack hanging on one shoulder.

After she left, I just sat there, looking at the field. After a short while, I heard a pair of heels clicking on the benches. I mentally face palmed and signed, looking around, searching for the Queen B, Beatrice and of course, her very loved right hand or minion, Madison, of this high school.

"Aww! Is the little newbie alone because Nathaniel left you... Oh wait! You guys were never together!" She said in a very high pitched voice as an evil laugh followed. I signed again and got up from my place, taking out my phone and looking through it for nothing in particular. She scoffed and said, "Hun! Looking at that phone as if you are waiting for someone to text you! I was going to tell you to get a life but remembered that you don't-"
