"Do you want breakfast?"

"Of course I want breakfast Idiot! Who doesn't want breakfast?"

I said to Nath as I sat at the kitchen table with Sam, Daniel and Gale on my side with Sam being the cook. It's been 3 days since I've been staying with Nath and to be honest, we got along very well. Sam amd Daniel kept on visiting me everyday and Gale was just plain flirting.

And about Astrid, she hasn't been around and even if she is, she looks scared and not like the usual loud and confident Astrid I know. I asked Nath about her but he only said that she'll be fine and told me not to worry too much.

I think all of it happened because of that one phone call she got. Because she's been acting weird ever since that phone call. I don't know who it was but it seemed like that person had an effect on her. I only hope that she's not in danger or in any kind of trouboe and not telling us about it.

"Damn Girl! What got you all fired up today?" Sam asked as he puts a slice of, delicious looking pancake with syrup on it, in his mouth.

Yeah. What happened to me? I guess I'm just too used to them now.

"I don't know!" I answered truthfully, "Do you guys have any practice today?" I asked Sam as Nath comes to me and puts some scrambled eggs, bacon and some grilled sausages on my plate.

"Thanks!" I smiled at him. "No prob." he simply said and sat by my other side, taking in his own food.

"Nope! We don't... Um Alex, You are indirectly asking about Astrid, aren't you?" Sam answered and to be honest, that was kind of my real reason of asking if Astrid is at practice because she is barely seen here anymore and isn't talking to anybody.

"How can I not? She and you guys really grew on me and I can't help but ask. I just have a feeling that something is not okay with her!"

Nath turned my chair to face him and looked at me dead in the eyes as he said that she will be fine soon and not to worry about it.

My heartbeat picked up uncontrollably as I looked straight in his mesmerizing ocean blue eyes, taking in his words coming in a smooth and gentle tone. But with his minty scent surrounding me, I was unable to comprehend it and my brain was just not cooperating with me. He was really close to me as he had leaned on the chair and his breath was literally fanning my face.

I think he would be able to hear my heartbeat now...It was literally hammering against my chest.

I tried to get the thought out of my head just as he tilted his head, searching for my eyes again.

Oh man! What's happening to me?? I never got this feeling.

I backed away a little. He must have sensed it as he backed away too, continuing to eat his breakfast. I turned my head to Daniel and asked him about her. I still not really satisfied that she is really fine, "Uh Niel, how do You think she's doing??" He scratched the back of his neck, trying to search for an appropriate answer to tell me.

"Well Alex, to be honest with you, I don't really know...But I believe that she will be fine and if she had anything to tell us about, she surely would! I believe her and you should too! So get this worrying thought out of your mind and wait for the good moment for her to tell us what has been going on with her! Okay?" He smiled and raised both eyebrows at me.

I think Niel is right! I should really stop worrying about her and believe that she will be alright and will tell us what's wrong when the time comes.

So I have nothing else to say but to agree with him, I put on a smile and said, "Okay! I'll try. But no promises!"

He gave me one last smile before he disappeared out of the front door, telling us that he had something to do. Gale went out too.
