I woke up with the bright light entering my skin and burning my flesh, unable to sleep anymore.'Why do I always forget to close those curtain?' I thought and groaned really un-lady like.

Mental note to self - Close the curtain when you go to sleep tonight!

Because next time, I might become a burned sausage! Not that I am a sausage but that was my nickname for some unrevealed reason since I was three years old. 

I turned on my side to look at the bluish green kind of colour small and cute alarm clock next to the bed, on a small wooden table, only to see that it's still 6:40 in the morning.

I lazily threw myself back on bed, returning to the strange and weird dream I was having.

Like, seriously, those dreams are weird... Like really weird!

As my eyes closed again, I heard  a very annoying person 's voice who had been staying in the same house for the past four days now, also known as Nathaniel and his stupid older brother, Gale.

Gale had returned home very drunk yesterday and Nath had to bring his brother in his room. But they don't know that I know that! Nath thought I was sleeping as it was about two in the morning. What was I doing at two in the morning? Well... Nobody knows!

Astrid literally burst open the bedroom door and jumped on my bed, straddling me. she was having fun, I guess and I, on the other hand was chocking to death!

"Wake up Alexie Anderson!!" She screamed in my ear. "Get off me Astrid! I can't breathe!!" this is what I tried to say but it came out like this, "Astrid... Breathe... Can't... Me."

Yeah I know, that's a sad reality!

"I can't stand my best friend being late on this very special day of mine!" she finally released me and I took  in a big lump of air and sat up. "Well chocking me to death is not the best thing to do if you want me to come!" I punched her on the shoulder, "You do realise that you have only like," she checked her phone, "10 minutes to get ready ,right?"

"Shit"

I got off the bed, brushed me teeth and rushed into whatever clothes I saw on the bed, which looked neatly folded and something which I did not do nor they are my clothes!

I wore the school like tank top with a pair of classic blue slim jeans with a black and white snap back. "You don't look so bad!" Astrid exclaims as she stood by the door, leaning on it while examining me. 

"I thought you would wear something else to be honest! Why didn't you?" Nath said as he leaned on the other side of the door, blocking the whole and only way out.

"She's my best friend who is pretty much in a rush to go to school sooo of course, she would wear what is already given to her! Now give me my money!" Astrid continued and put her hand in front of him.

"SCHOOL!!.... Wait did you just say money? Annndd why isn't he dressed yet?"

I looked back at the clock and saw it was already past 6, it was about 7:20 a.m.

"MOVE PEOPLE! I don't want to get another detention again!" I tried to move them out of the way but they wouldn't budge, not even a tiny bit.

"Guys Come on! Don't be like this! And Astrid you have a big opportunity today! You can't afford to be late!" I tried again but I knew I was of no use. These two blocking someone's way is like trying to walk straight into a wall and their heights are just the extra proofs to say that they are actual walls.
