'Aye Dee!' a voice calls out. Key looks in the direction and frowns. Dee whips around and does the same. 'Get the fuck outta here man,' she exclaims. 'You set this shit up, Keon?' 'Hell nah,' Key replies. 'You know I don't fuck with you.'

'Yeah, it's whatever,' JI replies, his hands in his pockets as he approaches the two. 'Not even here for you.' Dee scoffs, crossing her arms. 'You not here for me either sooo...' You must've forgot, I'm a thot right? I go around sucking dicks and fuckin' niggas, right? Hmph. Bet.

'Dee, can we talk?' he asks, playing with a springy curl. ''We don't have nothin' to talk about,' she says dryly. 'You tried to play me then came at my nigga on some fuck shit. Nah, you good big fella.' She turns back around, grabbing the ball from Key and starting away. She hears footsteps approaching and grits her teeth.

JI reaches her and slows down, stopping beside her. 'I know you probably not tryin' to but at least give me a chance,' he suggests. 'A chance for what?' she exclaims, stopping. 'Just give me a chance,' he repeats. 'A chance for what, nigga?!' she demands. 'You not sayin' nothing!'

'I wanna apologize,' he admits. She rolls her eyes, dribbling the ball to release her frustration. 'I know he probably told you what I said,' he begins. 'I know it was fucked up. I ain't have no reason to say it.' Dee stares blankly, his apology routine, one that she's heard many times before from her.

'It won't cool,' he says. 'Neither was you fuckin' his girl but, hmph, shit happens right,' she adds, bouncing the ball harder. JI clenches his jaw, growing frustrated. 'Look, I'm not gon' sit here and beg you,' he responds. 'I just wanted you to know it was never 'bout you. I ain't never felt no type of way 'bout you. Shit was dumb and I ain't mean to say it.'

'You said it in anger, it's not like I don't realize that,' she begins, slowing her dribbling and looking at him. 'But deep down you meant that shit, even if it was some small lor bit.' He rubs his neck, looking away. 'You ain't gotta sit here and lie to me, not like I ain't been called worse,' she mumbles.

'I really didn't though, you not like her,' he says, his frustration fading, his vulnerability beginning to show. 'You wouldn't do that shit to somebody knowin' he got a girl.' He frowns for a moment, forcing his next words out. 'You wouldn't try and play people like her, you care too much.' Dee sucks her teeth, switching to tossing the ball in the air. 'You don't know that.'

'You act like I ain't see y'all for four months tryin' to not be together,' he says with a small laugh. 'Well, nothin' to see no more,' she mumbles. His laughter halts as he looks away, the uncomfortableness of their interactions returning.

'I asked about you,' he offers. 'He ain't really have nothin' to say. Everybody else was sayin' you moved.' 'Tuh, of course they did,' Dee says dryly. Can't even make up a good lie. Dummies. 'Obviously, they lied since I'm still here.'

'Yeah, I figured you ain't move since Mani was talkin' 'bout pickin' you up and shit,' he adds, confirming her brewing suspicions. She sucks her teeth, 'Knew his daddy long leg ass had somethin' to do with this.' JI cackles, his loud laugh causing Dee to join. Key watches from afar, frowning.

'He just lookin' out for you,' JI says. She sucks her teeth, 'For what, man? We wasn't even close, what we gotta make up for?' she replies, amused by her own unnecessary pettiness. 'Damn, Dee,' he replies, a hand over his heart. 'That's cold.'
