"Every challenge you face today makes you stronger tomorrow. The challenge of life is intended to make you better, not bitter."

two days later...

"I mean, because if the man was doing his job in the first place," I said. "Why am I doing it?"

Michael shook his head.

"Why am I hitting it?" I asked. "Ima tell you the real deal, the real deal is I don't think she can hang."

Michael laughed.

"Mike, I put it on her," I said. "Now she's gone."

"Gone," Michael repeated after me.

I sighed. "These woman man, are killing me slowly."

"Wait a minute," Michael held up his finger. "I thought you guys were just kicking it."

"That's not the point Mike."

"So, what's the point, black man?" Michael asked. "You catching feelings for her or something?"

"Have you been listening to anything I've been saying lately?" I said. "Ima feed you the point, the point is- well I don't know the point."

Michael chuckled.

"It wouldn't be so bad man if I didn't think she was the one."

Michael coughed off his cigarette. "What-what are you talking about the one?"

"I think she's the one," I said, laughing at his facial expression.

"What's so funny?"

"I got your ass man, you know I had you going," I laughed, causing him to burst out into laughter.

"You got me, you got me," Michael put out his cigarette.

"Why were you giving me that look?"

"You got me," Michael said.

"Come on man, you're slipping on your boy. I had you, did you really think I found the one?"

"I slipped, I'm sorry," Michael joked.

I would be lying if I said that losing her was something that I could handle.
