OKAY. So I have decided that instead of skipping ahead a few years, I'm just going to skip ahead a few months every now and then. I will put a note at the beginning of each chapter so you all will know what month and everything it is. So this chapter will be about five months after the last chapter.

(3rd week of May)

Katniss P.O.V.

It's mornings like this that I just want to stay in bed all day. With Peeta's arm flung across me, Willow's head resting against my shoulder, and Rye laying between Peeta and I, it makes it hard to get up out of bed.

"Good morning," Peeta says softly. I look over to see that Peeta's awake and smiling at me.

"Good morning," I reply.

"Did Willow keep you awake all night?"

"No," I tell Peeta as I shake my head at him. "She didn't squirm too much. But Rye on the other hand..."

Peeta chuckles and shakes his head.

"I think he about broke my nose," Peeta says.

I laugh a little bit. "I know he kicked my arm at least twice."

Peeta takes a deep breath. "I'd better go fix breakfast, but I don't want to get up."

"Me neither," I say. "But look a it this way. Today is Willow's last day of school, so we won't have to get up early in the morning."

Peeta chuckles. "You don't have to get up early in the morning. I still have to go to work."

"You don't have to," I tell him. "You could just stay home tomorrow."

"I don't know," Peeta says. "I'll have to check with my boss and make sure it's okay."

I laugh at Peeta and shake my head at him.

"Alright. I'd better get up." Peeta slowly sits up so he doesn't wake Rye.

I also carefully get up out of bed and follow Peeta out of our bedoorm, and downstairs to the kitchen.

"You need any help?" I ask Peeta.

"No," he says as he shakes his head. "You could've laid down a few more minutes if you wanted to."

I shrug my shoulders. "I wasn't as comfortable without you there anyways," I mumble as I sit down at the table.

"Are we going to let Willow skip school today like we did last year?" Peeta asks me.

"I guess so," I say. "There's not much use in making her go."

"No," Peeta says as he shakes his head.

"Mama!"

I sigh and stand up out of my seat. "I'd better go check on the kids before they hurt each other."

Peeta chuckles as I start up the stairs. I go into our bedroom to see Rye sitting up on the bed with tears streaming down his face. Willow is standing beside of the bed trying to calm Rye down.

"Shh. It's okay," Willow says. She looks up at me and frowns. "I didn't mean to wake him up, Mommy."

"It's okay, baby girl," I tell Willow as I walk over and pick Rye up.

"Mama."

"What's the matter, Rye?" I ask him in a baby voice. He pouts at me and burries his face in my shoulder.

"I think he's still sleepy," Willow tells me. I laugh and nod my head.

"I do too, Willow."

She yawns real big and rubs her eyes with her fists.
