Chapter 29: Emails

GABIS POV

I woke up and decided to get breakfast with Niki since I haven't seen her all weekend.

"So have you heard from Blackbear at all?" She asked.

Her question took me back a little because of how random it was, but there was no way she knew.

"Uh no, I haven't." I said awkwardly.

"I'm sorry, I know you really liked him. He's a total ass anyways."

My stomach turned hearing her talk about him like that. I know he has fucked up a few times, but he isn't some awful guy like everyone makes him out to be.

I just nodded to avoid further conversation about him.

I heard my phone go off as Niki and I were driving home and looked down at the glowing screen in my lap. It was Franny.

Fran: Our video is up on my channel!!!

To Fran: 🎉🎉

Right when we got home I grabbed my laptop and went straight to Frannys channel and hit play on her most recent video and Niki and I watched it together.

"That was cute!" Niki said after it ended.

"It was! Too bad Kian, Jc, and Bobby were annoying the whole time." I rolled my eyes.

"So what about you and Kian? Have you talked?" She asked.

"We did when I went over the house, but nothing out of the ordinary. We're just friends."

"Not what I heard, but okay Gab." She grinned.

"What does that mean?" I asked slightly annoyed because I know Kian and I have nothing romantic going on. I'm with Bear.

"Jc tells me what Kian tells him."

"Which is?"

"Just that Kian thinks you two could be more than friends in the near future." She wiggled her eyebrows.

I rolled my eyes.

"Probably not." I said before going into my room.

I went on Twitter and saw Franny tweeted the link to our video and I retweeted it. Just being in her video gave me more of a following. I gained a few hundred followers from her.

I texted Bear since we haven't talked since I left his house.

To Bear: Hey (: What're you doing?

He quickly replied.

Bear: Nothing.

I furrowed my eyebrows at his text.

Why is he being short? He's never like this.

To Bear: Are you ok??

Once again, I got almost an immediate reply.

Bear: Yep.

I rolled my eyes because obviously he isn't okay. Somethings up, so I dialed his number and patiently waited for him to pick up.

"What?" He answered rudely.

"What's wrong? Why are you being a dick to me?" I asked.

"If you're going to flirt with Kian, even on camera for the whole world to see, why not just be with him instead of me?" He said in a dull tone.

"You watched Frannys video."

"Obviously I was going to watch it if my girls in it."

The way he said that made me smile even though I shouldn't be smiling in this situation. I'm his girl.

"I didn't flirt with him! He was completely annoying throughout the whole video, obviously I was annoyed."

"You seem to enjoy being annoyed then."

"Bear, stop. If I wanted him, I would be with him right now, not with you. Don't you get that I only want you? If I didn't I wouldn't be here still through all the bullshit we've gone through." I said in a very caring voice.

"I guess." He said in the same dull tone.

"Babe, please stop." I said, startling myself.

I never call him babe. That was weird.

"What'd you call me?" He said, I could tell he was grinning on the other end of the phone.

"I don't know why I called you that." I said giggling.

"I liked it."

"So we're okay?" I asked, needing to be reassured. I don't think I can handle him dropping me again.

"Yes, babe."

I smiled.

"Okay well I'm going to answer some work emails, so I'll text you."

"Okay, bye beautiful." He said before hanging up, leaving me smiling like an idiot.

I opened my laptop once again and logged into my emails to see what gigs I had and if I had any meetings scheduled.

I saw I had an email from Forever 21. I sort of outgrew modeling for them, but I never quit or anything. I loved working with them. I might just agree to this shoot, it'll be fun.

I continued to read on in the email about the shoot and read that I would be modeling alongside a bunch of social media influencers, since I guess that's technically what I'm considered now? This is going to be so fun!

I texted Lisa about the shoot to just have her contact Forever 21 and get all the details on it.

From Lisa: Okay, sounds good. Will get you good press with the other social media influencers. Check my most recent email please.

I scrolled through my emails till I found a forwarded one from Lisa about another shoot in New York City this weekend.

Oh my god! I loved New York City. I can't wait to go back.

To Lisa: I cannot wait to do the NYC shoot. This time I want to stay longer than last time... Can you get me a flight to stay Thursday to Monday? Also get three tickets, I have a plus one coming.

To Bear: Pack your bags, we're going to NYC Thursday(:
