Chapter 5

Y/N pov

The streets of Gotham were dark. The sun couldn't break throught the clouds.

I had time before going pick up Nathan. I decided to go to a café. I entered in the café,smelling sweet sent. I went to the counter and asked for a coffee and a muffin. Then I sat in a chair, waiting.

A waiter came with my order. I kept the muffin for Nathan and drank slowly my coffee. My thoughs went to the strange case. I didn't know why, but I had a strange feeling about it. It presaged nothing good. What kind of psycopath could do something like that. He killed someone in a swimming pool, chaining the corpse with two living others, covering them with blood. And he left them to their faith. 

''Miss Y/N ? We meet again '' a voice said bringing me back to reality.

I looked up to see the same man that yesterday. He was still with his get-up. He had a cup of coffee in his hand.

''I'm Victor, remember ? We met yesterday '' he said.

I nodded and smiled.

''Can I join you ? '' he asked.

I accepted and watched him taking a sit in front of me. We talked about everything and nothing. Then it was the hour to go. But before leaving him, he asked for my number. I gave him quickly before walking to Nathan's school.

I was a little late and Nathan was in front of the gates with a lolipop in his mouth and a piece of paper in his hand.

''Nathan, how was your day ? '' I asked when he saw me.

''Great mommy. Look, I solved the first riddle. The man gave me a lolipop. '' He grinned.

I frowned. '' Nathan , I warned you to not accept things from strangers''

He pouted '' But mommy, I want another treat. The man gave me another riddle ''

I took the piece of paper and read :

A man walks on a bridge.

He meets another man who tells him :

''Tell me a sentence. If it's false, I throw you over the bridge. But if it's true, I strangle you ''

What the first manresponded ?
