The Circle (Damian Wayne x reader )

Chapter 2

Y/N pov

After some conversations with Damian, I decided to not find a job. I still had my shares and I wanted to have time with Nathan.

Now, Damian was working with his father, in Wayne Enterprise. They often stayed late and I didn't want Nathan being always alone with Alfred, even if Alfred was someone really kind with him.

It was autumn. Dead leaves were everywhere in the streets of Gotham, colouring the grey city with red, yellow and brown stains.

I was walking at a slow pace, in the streets of Gotham, in order to reach Nathan's school. He was now four and attended school since he had been three.

The air was quite warm and humid, after the last rain. It was one of the rarest day of sun. Walking, I watched little rainbows reflected on a wall, by the reflection of the sun throught a fontain, when I bumped into someone.

I felt a hand grabbing my waist to steady me. My head crashed in a hard chest.

'' I'm sorry. I wasn't looking '' a voice said.

I detached myself from the man.

'' Not it's my fault. "I responded.

" Oh God ! You are Y/N, the future Wayne are you ? '' he asked.

I looked up at him.

He was really pale. The skin of his face was flawless, without any hair. All his body was covered by dark clothes from the top of his neck to his toes. He even wore black gloves.

" Yes, it's me ''I responded, uneasy. I didn't really know what to say.

"I met the Waynes few times already for businesses '' He followed.

He smiled, showing shinning teeth.

'' Anyway, let me invite you to take a coffee, to be forgiven of bumping into you. What do you think ? ''

I looked at my watch. I was five minutes late.

I shook my head.

'' I'm sorry. I can't. I'm already late '' I said. ''Another time maybe, it'll be with pleasure Ms ... ''

'' Oh God, I didn't introduce myself. Call me Victor '' he said.

After saying goodbye, I walked quickly to the school. I reached the gates and saw Nathan sitting on a corner, a piece a paper on his hands. His teacher was  watching him and the others pupils who were running in theschoolyard, waiting to be pick up.

I called him. He looked up and smiled when his eyes found me. He stood up and ran toward me.

"Mommyyyyyyyyyyyyy! '' he screamed.

I opened my arms, a big smile on my face. He jumped on me and I wrapped my arms around his little body.

" I missed you so much Nat '' I whispered into his ear.

" Me too! Daddy is at home, is he ? And Granpa ? '' he asked.

''They'll arrive for the dinner, little tiger. What is this paper ? '' I asked when I saw the piece of paper still crush in his hand.

He gave it to me.

'' A man was giving riddles at the gates. He said he'll give us treats if we solve them'' he explained.

I looked at the riddle :

  Three fish are in a bucket

One of them die

How many fish there are in the bucket ?
