Chapter 4

Y/N pov

I woke up alone. I went to take a shower then I went to wake up Nathan. With his sleepy face,he did grabby hand. I took him into my arms and went to the kitchen.

Alfred was already cooking some pancakes.

'' Good morning miss Y/N and little Nathan. '' he said, putting two plates of pancakes on the table.

'' Good morning Alfred''

'' Morning uncle Alfred''

I talked a little with Alfred, eating my food.

'' And did they come back ? '' I asked.

'' Master Wayne is already at Wayne Enterprise. Master Damian must be in his other office '' he whispered to not be hear by Nathan.

I nodded. ''Can you go take the car ? '' I asked '' I'll finish to prepare the little monster over here '' I said.

'' Of course miss Y/N''

I looked at him walked away hearing behind me ''I'm not a litttle monster. I'm a tiger ''

I chuckled and turned around to see Nathan with mapple syrup all over his cheeks.

~time skip ~

After putting Nathan in the car, Alfred drove him to his school. I walked in the silent manor to the library. I faced the old clock. The tip of my fingers pulled lightly a book with a green cover on its shelf. The clock went to its right to let appear a door. I opened it and I heared the clock taking its place behind my back. I went down the stairs and arrived in the Batcave.

I saw the back of Damian.He was faced to a wall of screens. One of the screen was a plan of Gotham. On the others there were pictures of different things.

I walked behind his back and wrapped my arms around his shoulders. I felt his body relaxed. He turned his face toward me and smiled.

'' How are you ? '' he asked.

'' I'm fine. Nathan wanted to see you before going to school ''

He bit his lips. ''I'm sorry. ''

'' Don't apologize to me but to him '' I answered.

I looked up at the screens.

'' What happened last night ? '' I asked, trying to change to subject.

'' We don't really know. Someone found in a abondoned building this. ''

He pressed a button and on the nearest screen a picture appeared.

'' Oh God ... '' I whispered.

It was like a nightmare.It was an empty swimming pool, certainly closed down. There were three bodies inside, all chained to the ground. There was blood everywhere.

''When the police arrived, two of them were still alive. The other was already dead and all the blood comes from him. ''

'' Who did this ? ''

'' We don't know yet. The two victims don't know either. They don't even know each other.The only clue is this ''

He pressed another button and on a other screen a picture appeared. It was the picture of what is seemed to be a pendant. It was a dark red circle with a dancing skeleton in the middle.

  '' It's quite morbid... ''
