Chapter 21

Y/N's pov

I glupped of fear.

'' Our dear guests have to answer to ten questions. '' the voice said in the loudspeakers.'' Zsasz has three knives. A wrong or late answer is one knife ''

I saw Damian stood straight, Batman next to him.

'' Ding, ding , ding, first question ; Even without looking, I see in the obscurity as clearly as in the daylight. Who am I ? ''

One ...

Two ...

Three ...

'' A bat ! '' Damian exclaimed.

'' And we have a good answer. Congratulation. ''

The sound of people clapping and cheering filled the air.

'' Second question : I was tomorow and I'll be yesterday. Who am I ? ''

One ...

Two ...

Three ...

Sweat rolled down my temple. I close my eyes. '' Everything is a dream. It's just a dream'' I mumbled under my breath.

Four ...

'' Today, the answer is today '' batman responded

I let a sigh let my lips.

'' And we have a good answer, well down. ''

The false clapping and cheering echoed in the room.

'' Third question :Even if you walk toward me, you will never touch me. Who am I ? ''

One ...

Two ...

Three ...

Four ...

Five ...

'' Zsasz it's your time to shine with your skills ''

'' No, No, the answer is the horizon. The answer is the horizon '' Damian shouted.

'' Sorry, it's too late'' the voice said before laughing.

I locked my eyes with Damian's. His hands pressed against the glass. '' Y/n ... '' I heard him whispered.

Then Victor came in my field of vision. He smirked. I watched his hand playing with the sharp knife. I bite my lips hard until I tasted blood. I closed my eyes and heard the whistling of the knife ripping throught the air.

Then I screamed of agony. The blade was deep into my left hand. The pain went throught my body.I felt the warm blood dripping from the wound. I sobbed. It  was unbearable .

'' Well, fourth question, I saw you ... ''

'' Please wait a second, please ...' Damian begged, watery eyes after seeing me in such pain.

'' getting older but ... ''

'' Please, take me to replace her ...''

'' I said nothing to you. Who am I ? ''

Damian fell on his knees.

One ...

'' A miror '' Batman answered.

'' And we have a good answer. Fifth question; When I'm fresh, I'm hot, Who am I ? ''

One ...

'' B-bread '' Damain said

'' And you are right. Sixth question; I talk every single languages and I spend my time with my head up side down. Who am I ? ''

One ...

Two ...

Four ...

'' A pen ! '' Damian screamed.

'' Well down ! Seventh question ; I'm black, I become red and end white. Who am I ? ''

One ...

Two ...

Three ...

Four ...

Five ...

'' Zsasz it's your turn''

'' No, no, no, please don't ... ''

 '' The answer was charcoal ''

I sobbed as I saw the blank expression of Victor. I closed my eyes again and felt a sharp pain in my left shoulder. I let out a screamed of pain. I could stand the pain. I wanted to faint. I wanted to die. ''Please tell me it was just a dream, just a dream just a dream '' I whispered to myself,like a mad woman. I shook my head from left to right. '' Just a dream,just a dream. It's not real. It's not real. ''

I couldn't hear the other voices anymore. I was having a mental break down. It was too much. '' It's not real. It's not real. It's not real ''. I was losing my sanity.

Suddenly the sound of something falling on the ground made me look up. The glass which was separting Batman and Robin had fell on the ground. I watched Batman grabbing Zsasz and handcuffed him. Then I saw Damian running toward me.

His fingers touched my cheek.

'' Da-damian '' I croaked.

'' it's okay Y/N, We passed the ordeal. We passed it. ''

He began to work on the chains to free me. I watched him like he wans't real.

'' Are, are you real ?'' I whispered.

He stopped what he was doing and faced me.

'' Of course I'm real. Wh-why do you think otherwise ''

A tears rolled down my cheek.

'' I-I d-don't know wh-what is r-real an-and what i-is n-not ''
