chapter 11: is it really over?

            “Congratulations! Im so proud of you..”, bati kay Alyssa ng mama niya. Katatapos lang ng graduation and super picture taking na sila ng mga kaibigan niya with their parents.

            “No.. im so proud of you..”, sagot ni Alyssa.

            Natawa ang mama niya. “Hindi ako ang grumaduate with honors here hija..”

            “true… but I didn’t raised myself. You did. It’s you that I have to thank for being a great mom.” Her mom was touched. They hugged each other tightly. 

            “excuse me. Alyssa flowers daw for you.”, saad ng librarian.

            “thank you ma’am.”, wika ni Alyssa.

            “No.. that’s not from me..”, ngiti ng librarian. Bago lang ito sa trabaho. Actually substitute librarian lang ito since nanganak ang real librarian nila. “Pinabigay lang sakin yan.”

            “nino?”, she curiously asked.

            “I don’t know… some cute guy..”, sagot nito. “he looks sweet.”, anito at knindatan siya. “congratulations nga pala.”

            “thank you.”, she said sweetly. Tiningnan niya ang boquet. She liked it. Binasa niy aang note kasama nito. Meet me at the theater sweetie  . it said. Napangiti si Alyssa. So sweet. Naisip niya agad si David. Cute si David and hindi siya kilala ng librarian dahil last year pa ito grumaduate.

            Magso-sorry na siguro si David. Kinilig siya sa naisip. Nagpaalam siya sa mama niya at tinungo na ang theater. She had missed him so much.

            Nakangiti siya nang pumasaok sa theater. Inihahanda niya ang sarili para sa magiging pagtatagpo ng dating kasingtahan.

            “Isay,.”, she heard someone called from her behind.

            Napakunot ang noo ni Alyssa sa pamilyar na boses. Lumingon siya sa pinanggalingan ng tinig na iyon. Her face was filled wit shock nang mapagtanto kung sino iyon. “Mark.”, she said.

            Mark smiled. “Im glad you came. Thank you.”, he said as he approached her.

            Napaatras naman si Alyssa. “sayo galling ang flowers?”, she clarified.ngayon lang niya naisip ag possibility na si mark pala ang nagpadala ng mga bulaklak. That also explains kung bakit hindi siya kilala ng librarian. She was really disappointed. Akala niya kasi makikipagbati na si david sa kanya.

            “Of course. Who else?”, tanong nito with a smile on his face.

            She gave him a dull stare. “Duh. I don’t know.. maybe my other ex boyfriend.. who by the way I’m still deeply in love with.”, she answered with much sarcasm.

            Napailing si Mark. “But sweetie.. I was your first and only boyfriend..”

            “Was. After that crazy trick you pulled at the stock room, I realized that there are other guys in this side of the planet.”, she said with much confidence.

            “no.. your just saying that to make me jealous.”, he said. Alyssa just though mark isn’t that perfect afterall. Ang dami nitong faults! Mapride.. mayabang.. and not to mention malibog…

            “Yeah. That sounds so mature of me.”, she agreed sarcastically.

            “And it’s working really great.”, he answered.
