Chapter 6

“Eric” he said formally but his stance was different since he first started talking to me. “Are you to…” he asked

“No” I said

“Yes” Eric said at the same time and then I looked at him confused and back to Jensen, who had a raised eyebrow.

“Alice may I come inside?” he asked politely looking at me and not Eric

“Y-”

“No” Eric said before I could even get past the ‘e’ in yes.

“Why not Eric?” I asked putting my hands on my hips

“I…um...” he said looking to the ground

“I’m no threat I’m just here to install a security system” he said it to me but I had a feeling it was directed to Eric.

He was still standing outside my door no taking a step inside. I wondered why he hadn’t just came inside already.

“Come on in Jensen” I said as I opened the door for him and he smiled at me and stepped inside.

“Now I won’t be any trouble, you can go around and continue doing your daily deeds I’m just going to install the system” he said

“Thanks Jensen” I said smiling as I walked over to my stairs and looked over at Eric “Come on, ill show you where you will be staying” I said 

“He’s staying with you?” Jensen asked 

“He’s going to be my roommate, you know, help with the mortgage and stuff like that” I said smiling

“Oh” was all he said as he walked over and started his work.

I led Eric upstairs and I could feel his presence behind me and made me shiver. I reached the top and turned right into my spare room “this will be your room, um do you know when you’ll be able to get your stuff out of that house?” I asked

“I’ll go get it later” he said and I looked out the window at his room and saw a something move in my bushes. I moved closer and then I ran downstairs with Eric telling me to wait up as I went outside

“What are you doing?” he asked “I saw something” I said looking out at the woods and walking outside when Eric grabbed my arm and pleasure shot through me.

“And your going to go after it?” he asked with a hint of amusement in his eyes

“Well yeah what if someone’s hurt or what if they want to hurt me!” I said, he sighed

“I’ll go check it out you stay here” he said as he shut the door and ran out and into the trees.

“Fuck that” I said as I opened the door and trotted into the woods. I looked around and I didn’t see Eric anywhere. I heard growling and I looked over to see a large brown dog and my eyes widened, this had to be the biggest dog I’ve ever seen! It came closer and I took a step back and fell against a tree and it came up and sniffed me and it stopped growling and it continued to sniff me when another dog came up letting out a snarl. This dog was practically just as big as the brown one but it was a lighter color, more blond. The circled each other snarling and they were cutting off me from my house so I ran the opposite way when they jumped at each other. I ran as fast as I could of course in the other direction. 

After what seemed like forever I stopped running and looked around. I heard rushing water and looked over the cliff what I saw was definitely a waterfall… And I was at the top of it. It was probably the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. The water was a pure clear blue color as it rushed down a 40 ft. drop into a small pond, with grey rock banks and green moss sheltering the grass area.

I heard something come up behind me and I turned and looked around. I didn’t see anything but there was no way I was going to take the chance of being wolf food. I looked towards the drop and back at the woods. I had about 2 options. I could run back to the house where wolves would most likely eat me. Or I could jump. I stood there and I heard a twig crack and a giant wolf leaped out at me and I took a step back and fell backwards down a 40 ft. drop.
