I woke up on a bed that looked very familiar to me. It was one of the extra beds in Tyler’s house. It just looked much bigger. It smelled different to. The room itself looked bigger. I shifted my position so I could get up, when I noticed that I had paws below me and I definitely was still covered in fur. I saw a mirror across the bed and I looked in it. I seemed to be a shimmering white wolf with deep emerald eyes. I slowly raised myself and jumped down from the bed almost falling in the process. I looked around and sniffed the air. I closed my eyes; I felt five different heartbeats in the house. I turned my head to the door. It was cracked. I slowly pawed my way over to it and used my nose to open the door. The door slowly opened and I pushed my body through it. In my head I smiled triumphantly.

‘Go downstairs’ a voice said

‘Who was that?’ I asked confused

‘Oh thank god you can hear me. I’ve been waiting for years to finally break free’ it said relieved

‘Who are you again?’ I asked

‘Oh sorry about that, I’m your wolf. Your vampire genes were holding me back. We were constantly fighting each other for control. We’ve finally bonded so now we can appear to you’ my wolf said

‘So wait, do I hear my vampire’s voice to?’ I asked

‘No its just our vampire blood that is bonded with our werewolf blood, instead of fighting for dominance we are one’. It said

‘Oh, so um no offense but are you a person or just like a part of me?’ I asked gingerly

‘I am apart of you. Can we check out downstairs or go for a run or something like that?’ it questioned eagerly

I walked downstairs, I was cautious not to fall down the stairs. Once I gotten to the bottom of the stairs I could hear voices and I could smell things being cooked. Everyone was talking so urgently at the same time it was hard to pick up who was saying what or what they were even saying. I couldn’t tell anyone’s voice apart and the noises were pecking at my head. I whimpered as I backed up.

I heard some more mumbling and people walked in, one person pointed to me. My senses were going wild.

“Alice” I heard out of all the commotion. I looked up to see Eric.

‘MATE’ my wolf said

‘What?  No!” I said. Everyone started to walk closer to me.

“Alice? Alice can you hear us?”

“Of course she can hear us! She’s not deaf!”

“Who knows how her body is reacting! Maybe she doesn’t know now any of us! Her body wasn’t supposed to do this!”

The voices all started arguing. I noticed another wolf in the room. It was brown, it was looked a little bigger then mine.

‘Alice’ it said

‘Who said that?’ I asked

‘I said that, it's me, Tyler? Its ok that’s our family’ Tyler said ‘calm down’ he soothed and I felt a wave of submissiveness come towards me and then stop. Tyler looked confused ‘how did that not work?’

The voices were agitating me even more ‘Tyler let me go outside’ I said

‘Not now you’re not ready, we’re trying to figure out what’s going on’

My teeth ached and my body longed to be outside. I suddenly could hear everyone’s hearts beating at the same time.

‘Ty...’ I said as my own heart started to speed up.

‘TYLER LET ME OUT NOW’ I commanded him while glaring at him in the eyes. He stood there frozen before shifting and opening the door as I dashed out. I heard everyone shouting, it almost… almost canceled out the sound of their heart beats. I sped into the forest my vision starting to mix to red and blue. I started to feel a strange hunger.

I kept running pushing my body faster until I saw another deer. I lurked around for a minute. Now that I think about it, It didn’t even have a chance to run. I sunk my teeth into the deer feeling my fangs pop out as I drank. It fell to the ground and I instantly felt remorse. I just killed a deer. I don’t want to do that. Wait, I did this before. This is my second one…

‘Why did I do this? I like animals…’ I said feeling guilty looking down at the dead deer

‘We had to feed. We had no choice; your vampire needs blood to keep us strong. Unless you want to kill your family I suggest you stick to deer’. My wolf said coldly

I heard branches break, from what it sounded like it must be 20 feet away. I looked into the dark woods and used my new enhanced vision to see other wolves lurking sniffing the air when one of them looked up and started sprinting towards me.
