Recap
Layla simply rolled her eyes and slightly shook her head. "Of course, how about I treat you to a Royal dinner at the palace as well, your Highness?"
Lucy placed her hand under her chin, seeming as if she was thinking hard. "Sounds interesting. I'll hold you to it, peasant," Lucy said at all.
They both erupted in laughter in unison, until Layla grabbed Lucy's arm, dragging her amidst the crowd in the market. "As if that would ever happen! Now come on, we have some stomachs to fill!" she said, chucking.
The Royal Mark : CHAPTER TEN
"This dress would look so great on you! You must buy it, Layla! I'll even pay for it if you want me to," Lucy said holding a knee-length, black dress against Layla's body.
"Are you crazy? It's way too tight for my liking. Isn't that right little baby?" Layla said patting her tummy which was currently full with the amount of food they ate.
Lucy simply gave her cousin a blank look. "Are you serious? Do you realize just how many guys you could get if you showed off your curves in a dress like this? You have a really hot bod girl, and I can't believe you're keeping it all to yourself," she said placing the dress back on the stand.
"What are you talking about? I don't need any guy. None of them is really worth my time," Layla replied, shrugging.
Lucy rolled her eyes. "Speaking of guys, how's Julian? I'm surprised he's not with you. You both used to be attached by the hip, quite literally. Is he sick or something? Wait no, you'd still always be by his side. Aww, you guys were so cute! Has he made a move on you yet?" Lucy winked.
Layla's eyes grew wide and she slapped her cousin on the shoulder. "Watch what you're saying, Lucy! That's so wrong," Layla replied. She felt her cheeks go red, and faced away from her cousin, examining the other dresses on display at the small shop at the market.
"How is that wrong? That guy probably fell in love with you the first time he saw you. Don't tell me you never noticed. And don't think you can get away from answering my initial question so easily. Where is he?" Lucy asked sensing something suspicious.
