Recap

Lucy reached across the table and placed her small hand over his large fist. "You're not a coward, Julian. You just need someone to help you out, that's it. Talk to her. Let her know what's going on between you and Liam. She's one of the most understanding people out there, and I'm pretty sure you know that from all the years you've spent with her. Give her a chance."

Julian swallowed the lump in his throat as he thought about what Lucy said. She was right; he should let Layla know about this, and let her be the judge of the situation. He smiled, thanking Lucy and decided to wait for the perfect moment to talk to Layla. He wouldn't back away now. Not anymore. He'd just have to deal with Liam when the time comes.

Layla groaned as she pulled the pillow from underneath her head, and threw it over her ears to shut out the loud voices resonating in the house. If there was one thing she hated about her house, it'd be the lack of soundproof walls.

Why was there a chaos in her house at such an ungodly hour, she wondered to herself. Determined to put an end to it, she jumped out of bed, frustrated. She removed her hair tie and walked to the nearest mirror to make herself look slightly presentable.

When Layla finally got to the bottom of the staircase, her mouth dropped open. Her entire living room and kitchen was packed with several men and women, shouting at each other as they all walked around with different ingredients.

She looked over their heads, looking for her Father, but he was nowhere to be seen. Finally, she spotted Morrie seated at the same couch where she'd found him yesterday when she'd gotten home.

Layla muttered 'sorry' more time than she could count while making her way through the crowd of individuals there as she tried to get to Morrie. A woman stepped on Layla's foot and kept walking, unaware of what she'd done.

Layla turned to glare at the woman as she muttered a few colorful words under her breath. Finally, she plopped on the couch next to Morrie who smiled and said, "Good morning, Layla!"
