chapter 37

Meriah POV

Like Shigure said the day before we again didn't have school so all of us slept it.

When I woke up I was warm but I could feel a chill. I looked up and saw that I was still in Yuki's arms making me smile.

After a few minutes Yuki did wake up he looked at me then smiled. "Good morning my love." He said.

I smiled. "Good morning my rat." I said.

"Usually I don't people calling me rat but for some reason you make it sound cute." He said making me smile.

"I'm sorry about falling asleep while you were telling me about the zodiacs story. I feel so bad." I said.

"Its alright my love." He said. "I know that you were tired to its ok." He said. "Now how about we go downstairs and see if there is something that we can eat. I don't believe that the power is back." He said.

He got up. I grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around. We walked downstairs and I saw Shigure and Kyo in the living room.

I smiled. "Morning." I said.

"Good morning my little cupcake. I'm afraid that there is still no power." He said.

I nodded as I had an idea. Going to the kitchen I found Tohru and told her my idea.

Soon we came out with bowls of hot soup. The boys looked at the bowls like they were dangerous making me giggle.

"I have heating magic. So I was able to cook and keep the soup hot while Tohru add everything." I said.

Yuki and Shigure smiled. As Tohru and I sat down and we all began to eat.

Soon everyone was done and we were  cleaning the dishes. I made water from thin air. Filling the sink up until it was full. That kind a made me weak .

Finishing up the dishes I was folding up the cloth when I felt my knees giving out and a wave of dizziness went throughout my body.

I didn't pass out just fell to the floor. "Yuki." I sat there after calling for Yuki.

He walked in and saw me on the floor. "Love are you alright?" He asked.

"I used to much magic with keeping the soup hot and making water to do the dishes." I explained.

He nodded and helped me up and carried me to the couch. Shigure looked at me worriedly. Before he asked, Yuki explained things.

"I worn myself that's all." I just said as Yuki sat me down on the couch.

I looked up at Yuki lovingly. He sat beside me and then placed a blanket around me. I leaned against him as Shigure handed me my sketch book.

I smiled as I opened to a new page and began to draw. Half way through drawing I stopped and leaned my head back on Yuki.

I let out a yawn as I closed my eyes then felt myself falling asleep. I was beyond tired. I started to move so that I was cuddling into Yuki's chest. So that we were chest by chest. Once I started moving and turing my body however I felt and heard my sketch book fall.

Yuki POV

I looked down at Meriah as she started to move. I watched as she turned her body around to cuddle into my chest.

Shigure picked up Meriah's sketch book and placed it on the kotatsu. Then he looked at Meriah. "She looks so peaceful." He said bringing the blanket up so it covers her fully.

I nodded in agreement as I looked down at her and then kissed the top of her head. She cuddled closer in my chest which made me smile. Though it short a went away when she started shivering. I looked at at Shigure as he then gently placed another blanket over top of her. I nodded thank you as I watched her slowly stop shivering and smiled in her sleep.
