Fruits Basket Keeping a secret

Birthday celebration.

Meriah POV

I was so happy to see everyone but mostly my father. I walked up and hugged him. He was shocked by hugged me back.

"I wondered what your mother gave you but now I know." I heard him say. "Happy birthday baby."

My smiled got bigger. "Thanks daddy." I pulled away.

"I want a hug from my sweet cupcake." Shigure said flirtatious
coming over to me but being stopped by Kyo.

"Stop being a pervert damnt." Kyo said.

I smiled. "It's ok if he wants a hugs lets let him have one." I walked up to him and hugged him.

"See Kyo she cares." He stayed jokingly.

I pulled away then hugged Aya and Mine. I sat on the couch that was against the wall with Yuki. There was one thing that I wanted to do. I looked at Yuki. "Do you trust me?" I asked.

He nodded. "Of course." I smiled and lift his arm and sneaked under it and cuddled into his chest for the first time. He wrapped that arm around my waist. Making my feel safe. "How is this?" He asked.

I smiled. "It's nice." I lifted my legs and rested them on the couch. I yawned. And started to feel myself falling asleep. I tried my best to stay up but i was so relaxed and at peace that i eventually feel asleep.

Yuki's POV

I sat there with Meriah cuddled in my chest. A few minutes later her breathing got slow and more quiet. I looked at her. "Meriah?"

"Shh she felled asleep Yuki. Let her rest." Hatori said. He placed a blanket over her so she wouldn't get cold. I nodded and kissed the top of her head.

Hatori POV

I talked to Aya and Shigure I didn't know why.

"So your daughter how does it feel to be a dad?" Aya annoying questioned.

"It's different. I wish that I could spend more time with her."

"She wishes that too." Shigure said. "But I bet she's happy to have you here today."

"I'm happy to be here too. Though I had the hardes time trying to get her a present."

"I made her something to help her with her tail." Aya said.

I shot my head and look at him she knew about our secret but we she never told him hers.

"How do you know about her?" Shigure asked.

"She takes after her mother. I knew about your relationship with her. I found out her secret when she visited my shop that one time. I promised that I wouldn't tell and I've kept it all this time." He said.

"So you knew about her gift Aya?" Yuki asked.

"Yes."

"Is that why you gave her that dress, the first time we went to your shop."

He nodded.

An hour later Meriah started to wake up. I walked over to her and Yuki and kneeled down in front of them. "Hi there baby."

"D-daddy." She yawned and sat up.

"You fell asleep." Yuki told her rubbing her back slightly.

"I'm sorry."

I sat beside her. "There's no need to be sorry." She layed her head on my shoulder.

Meriah POV

So after I layed my head on my dad's shoulder. I started to smell something delicious cooking.

"Is Tohru cooking?" I asked.

"Yes. She's making you a surprise birthday dinner." Aya said.

"Its ready." I heard Tohru happily said.

We all got up and headed for the table. After we eat we opened my present while eating cake.

The first one was from Shigure. I opened the red box and there was a necklace. The charm was an open sliver Nintendo Ds. I looked up at him he had a smile on his face. I told him that I've been wanting one; and he got me one.

The second present I opened was from Aya and Mine. It was a larger box. It was velvet red tied with a velvet white ribbon. I untie the ribbon and opened the box. Laying there was a blanket shaped like a tail, shaped like my tail. It was blood red. I took it out and looked at it. I didn't understand I looked up at him.

"I know so this is when you have it and need to dry it faster or just relax with it." He said with a smile.

"Thank you."

The third present was from Kyo. It was in a medium sized bag. I cut the cape and I opened it and laying there was a pushy. I pulled it out and looked at it. It looked like Yuki with a grey mouse costume on. I could see that it has purplish grey hair sticking out. I looked up at him. "I love it."

"What the hell?" I heard Yuki say.

"Just shut up you damn rat. She likes it."

He calmed down. I put my hand on his leg. "Thank you Kyo."

"Your welcome."

There were two presents left. It was from Tohru. I was a large size box. I opened it up and there was a fish bowl. The bow had sand and some shells in it. In the middle of the bowl was a candle holder. It was beautiful. I carefully picked it up out of the bowl. "Its beautiful thank you Tohru."

The last present was from Yuki. It was a small box so it must be jewelry. I opened the box and there was a crescent moon and inside the moon there was a sun connected together to the ends of the moon. I lift it up and it was a necklace. It was so beautiful. "Thank you Yuki, I love it so much."

"I'm glad." He smiled.

"Happy birthday Meriah." Everyone said.

After the present got cleaned up we all talked and then after about two hours everyone left. I cuddled up against Yuki. Everyone else headed up to bed so it was only Yuki and I left. We cuddled and talked. Smiled and laughed and giggled. It was really nice.

"You know its really nice feeling your arms around me. Feeling your warmth. It really feels like were normal." I said.

"Yes it is." He told me.

I sat up and quickly sat on his lap. He was shocked. I wrapped my arms around his neck. I wasn't going to do anything I just wanted to sit on him. I giggled and kissed his lips.

"I love you." I giggled.

"I love you too."

I got off of him. "We should go to bed."

He nodded and got up. We heard upstairs and went to bed. I layed on my bed and thought about today.
