Izuku's POV

The first stop for my mom and I was the grocery store. I used to hate the grocery store as a kid, but honestly I was so excited. My mom told me that she was going to let me pick out anything I wanted.

(Yo sidenote: yeah this takes place in Japan, but I don't know how grocery stores are there so they are going to Kroger, sorry haha. (AKA Ralph's if you live in other places in the US) I feel like grocery stores are basically the same anywhere though).

The train ride there was extremely awkward. I was smashed standing between two men while my mom sat on a bench next to an old lady. My mom laughed at me every time the train started moving and the old guy in front of me would start leaning on me. Thanks mom.

Once inside of Kroger I was met with the familiar scent of cold air and vegetables. I hated it as a kid, but I craved it now. I pushed the cart while my mom went around the produce section. She put in the usual cabbage, carrots, peppers, onions, and mushrooms. I threw a couple of avocados in there too. They're a good fat.

After making our way out of that section and through some small pack of people. Some using their small quirks to make shopping easier. We found ourselves in the bakery section. Both my mom and I had to limit ourselves to picking out one cake. I picked out a chocolate cake for my mom and I to eat after dinner. We could've spent all day in the bakery section if it weren't for the fact we needed other things.

We weaved our way through the aisles and to the meats. We got some fish and some beef. Strange combination but not to be eaten at the same time. My mom was going to make beef ramen for dinner tonight per my request.

Finally our cart made its way to the dry foods and boxed foods. We picked up some crackers, chips, canned foods, and cookies. I threw in some chocolate pudding because it was calling my name.

The line for the check out was short and sweet. We paid with ease, but were hit with the reality of all that we had bought once we realized we had taken a train there. We were going to have to carry all of this home.

I took all of the groceries and carried them myself. It was the least I could do for my mom after everything. My arms were filled to my shoulders with bags. I looked ridiculous.

We made our way to the station and stopped for some ice cream along the way. My mom fed it to me while I held the bags.

The train ride home was not as awkward as the one there because someone gave me their seat. They probably felt sympathetic for me and all my bags.

We had brought the bags home and put them up. The rest of the errands were not as fun. She had to go to the post office, then to the pharmacy, then to the bank. They weren't fun, but I still enjoyed every moment in my mom's company because it reminded me of old times.

Through out the day I still heard the occasional police siren and saw the breaking news symbol on TV. The news always reported villains. I even swore I saw Mt. Lady once or twice, but I didn't care. I didn't even think about the hero world. I felt like a human. A regular civilian. I kind of liked it.

The next day she took me to the amusement park "Giant Land". I had been there many times as a kid but not so much in my teen years. I was excited.

Once we were through the front gate I was hit with a wave of nostalgia. The kiddie rides stared back at me invitingly. I was too big for them now, but they still looked welcoming. We walked past them to the roller coasters.

My mom was not a big fan of roller coasters. She always threw up on them, but she was willing to ride one if I wanted to. I told her she didn't have to ride with me but she insisted.
