"Akemi promised that we'd get to fight real villains with him as president," Riku whined as he picked up another piece of trash.

Sora shrugged. He didn't really care what they did. He bent down and picked up an old plastic bottle.

"I mean picking up trash next to the freeway reminds me more of prison work than hero work," Riku plopped down in the grass and yawned.

Miki slapped Riku on the back of the head. He hissed up at her.

"Stop being a pussy even though I know you can't help what you are," Miki said as she crossed her arms. She crumpled an empty chip wrapper in her hand.

"Why am I always the one that's bullied?!" Riku said as he stood up from the grass.

"Because you have the worst attitude," Sora giggled. "Have you heard yourself lately?"

"It's only because I miss Haruki," he pouted. "He was the best president. I don't understand why he quit."

"Because of you," Miki bursted out laughing.

"STOP BLAMING EVERYTHING ON ME!" Riku threw up his arms in frustration.

Akemi walked over with an empty black trash bag in her hand.

"Can you guys ever be serious for 5 minutes?" Akemi sighed.

"Hey Akemi, you said that with Izuku as president we would get to do real hero work. What the fuck is this?" Riku complained. His purple eyes widening. "I mean at least with Haruki we didn't have to pick up trash!"

"I don't want to hear about him anymore and I want you to stop complaining!" Akemi said in frustration. "Izuku just became president. Give him a chance!"

Riku backed off. He knew that Akemi was going to blow soon.

"Alright Akemi," Riku said calmly. "I trust you."

"Thank you," Akemi responded with a smile.

"Guys," Miki's voice chimed from the side of the road. She sounded worried. "LOOK OUT!"

Miki opened her eyes widely and stopped the semi-truck from tipping over on top of them. She had frozen time around the truck. She stopped it moments before it crashed.

"Guys can you redirect the cars behind it?" Miki said quickly. "And hurry."

"What happened?" I said breathlessly as I ran to the scene. I had been picking up trash farther down on the street and heard the commotion. I placed my hands on my knees and was trying to catch my breath.

"Almost a crash," Sora responded.

"Ok, ok," I huffed. "Sora I want you to overshadow the driver and steer him away from the edge. Akemi I want you to magnetize the cars away from each other to avoid the pile up, and help Sora straighten the Semi. Riku. Uh."

I scratched my head. I didn't really know what he could do in this situation.

"Riku I want you to tend to any injured, and just help everyone else," I smiled.

"Wow I see how it is," Riku crossed his arms and followed Akemi to the cars.

"You guys need to hurry," Miki strained. "My eyes can only stay open so long."

The scene played out before me. Sora over shadowed the truck driver who was frozen in time. Miki blinked and time unfroze. Akemi pushed the truck straight onto the road and Sora helped the driver get on his way by steering the truck. Sora returned back to his unconscious body in an instant. His green eyes looked up at me and smiled.

"What a rush!" He said.

"It's great isn't it?" I said back. It was great, but I wasn't satisfied yet.

Riku and Akemi were quick at work redirecting traffic around the truck. Sora had parked the truck on the side of the rode, but almost instantly the driver got out of the truck. He was stood on the shoulder of the road clutching his chest.

"Miki and Sora," I turned to them. "Stay here I'm going to go help the man!" I said as I started to make my way across the street.

The cars were moving slow enough for me to sneak across. The traffic was there, but it was not nearly as bad as it could've been.

I approached the man. He was now crouched on the ground. The man was in agony.

"Sir! Are you ok!" I said as I tried helping him up.

"I— I..." he mustered.

"The paramedics should be here soon. Hold tight!" I said as I wrapped one of his arms around my shoulder.

A sound echoed from the distance. I looked up and saw Mt. Lady charging towards the scene. Helicopters followed her with camera crews.

I cursed under my breath. Heroes. Always charging in at the last minute.

Mt. Lady's giant hand picked the truck up and set it in the grass beside the road. She saw me behind the truck with the man around my shoulder. She picked both of us up in one hand. She was obviously thinking I was in trouble too because of my school uniform. She went and picked up the rest of my friends as well.

Mt. Lady quickly scurried out of the way of traffic, but not before she bowed.  Civilians got out of their cars and began cheering for her.

I looked at the man next to me and saw him still struggling for air.

"HEY! This man needs the medical attention not US!" I yelled up to her.

She ignored my words and set us all down in the circle of medical teams and police cars that were in the nearby clearing.

The teams were quick to check us out and saw that we were perfectly healthy. The man was having a heart attack and almost crashed his truck. We stopped the crash, but only we knew who actually saved who.

Mt. Lady got all of the credit for the incident. We were just labeled as student bystanders from the nearby academy.

"I know it sucks Izuku!" Akemi said as she patted me on the back. "It's just how it goes. We aren't heroes. I don't know why I thought we could be, but we did save people today."

My head was buried into my arms.

"That man could've died and Mt. Lady didn't even care. No one cared," I said in anguish.

She patted my back from behind me. She had come with me back to my dorm.

"Hey, hey! Credit isn't everything! It doesn't matter!" Akemi said softly. "You're a good person Izuku."

"I hate heroes."

"How can you hate heroes when you are one?" Akemi laughed.

"I'm not a hero. Everyone dies around me."

"What?" She struggled to understand.

"Maybe the world is trying to tell me I'm not meant to be a hero. I mean the world has never helped me anyway. Why should I save it? No one cares— I just," I looked up at Akemi. She looked angry.

"Shut up Izuku," she stood straight up. "You are a hero."

"What if I'm meant to be a villain?" I responded.

She remained silent. She stared at me for a moment before left my dorm.

I was once again left with my endless thoughts.
