Chapter 18

I woke up very early today.

It was 4:49am

My Mom was still asleep.

I went to the kitchen to get water because i was thirsty.

As i got in,i saw my brother,leaning on the kitchen cabinet and smiling at me.

I smiled back.

The voice of my Mom distracted me.

"What are you doing by this time?".she asked like it was a crime to wake up again.

" I was thirsty,so i came to drink water".I replied her

"And you left the tap on abi?". She asked again giving me a weird look like i will deal with you today.

" Am sorry,I didn't know ...."I didn't even finish before she asked another one.

"Who were you smiling at?".She asked putting her hands on her waist and moving round the kitchen to check if someone else was in there with me.

" I wasn't smiling at anybody ?".I said trying to defend my self.

"So am lying, because i didn't see you". She said again still maintaining eye contact.

" No....um....I don't know".I said with confusion written all over my face.

"Favour, Favour,Favour"..." How many times did i call you?". She said.

"Three times". I replied her

" Are you still taking your medication?"She asked empathizing the 'medication'.

"Um...yes....no....I can't remember". I said trying to use my hand to stylishly cover my face.

I didn't know what to say...I can't tell her that i stop taking my medication weeks ago... She will beat nonsense out of my body.

" You can't remember, ok no problem,after school today,meet me at the hospital".she said leaving the kitchen.

After the kitchen incident,I couldn't go back to sleep.

I was awake till 6:00am.

I prepared and went to school.

During break,Austin walked up to me and gave me an envelope.

I took it and opened it...It was empty.

I quickly tore it.

The shouting of the students arouse my attention.

A teacher was standing in my front and students were gathered looking at us.

I was confuse,what are they looking at?

Is there a something on my face?

"What disrespect". A junior student shouted

" What audacity".Another one said.

"Shut up all of you and get too class". The teacher in my front shouted.

They all hurriedly went to their classes.

At that moment the bell signifying break over was rang.

The teacher walked to me and said

" Why did you do it?".

"Excuse me sir,do what". I said because certainly i don't know what he is talking about.

" The money i gave you, you tore it".he said bringing me to my realisation.

"I tore the money you gave me....Why...for what reason?". I asked

" Let me ask you a question, did you hear when i called you name?".The teacher asked me.

"Yes". I replied

"Did you see me handling the money to you?". The teacher asked.

" Yes".I replied.

"Then why did you tear the money?".The teacher asked waiting for my reply.

"Um...Sir.... Firstly it wasn't you i saw,it was my brother he gave me an envelope but there was nothing inside so i tore it". I said explaining what i saw.

" Your brother,seriously, your brother was here?"He asked looking around for my brother.

"Um...I have to go to class now,break is over". I said leaving the teacher.

I entered the class and all eyes on me.

Some were whispering something to their friends but i didn't pay attention because my class mates like drama.

After school that day,I went to the hospital where my mom works.

I was at the reception hall waiting for her.

While waiting I fell asleep.

I saw my brother in the clothes of a doctor walking towards me. I got up and shouted AUSTIN I MISS YOU SO MUCH.

The next thing i knew was my Mom standing in my front looking at me like 'what has entered your head' and then i fainted.

I was in coma for 4hours.

I was sweating and running high temperature.

My Mom was worried.

The doctor asked her some questions about my medication.

She couldn't give an answer.

At that moment i woke up and i heard when the doctor said something like hallucination and psychosis and bla bla bla.

All this things happening are they some form of hallucinations or were they real?

I need answers!
