Chapter 20

So its been 2 weeks since i met Jerry and we exchanged number. He is a nice guy. He just want to be my friend.

I didn't tell my Mom about our meeting.
She would get angry because i already told her weeks ago that i don't know any of Austin's friends.

We do meet after my therapy session. Luckily his house is close to that area.
We hangout and do fun stuffs.

One day,Jerry asked me why do i go for therapy,I told him it was as a result of the accident,he felt sorry but He said i don't need therapy or medication,that he was once in my situation and he got a wonderful drug that cured him within weeks.

I insisted on knowing about the drug and how to get it, because i was tired of taking medication and buying new ones every week.

Even though my Mom warned me about taking another drug that wasn't prescribed by my doctor.I wanted to know more about the wonder drug, Jerry was talking about.

He said he was going to order 1packet for me and he would pay on my behalf. I just need to taste it and i would see the magic.

" A drug that you can order that is to say the level of the originality".My foolishness talking.

It was the Christmas holiday and my Mom made me spend Christmas with my dad and his wife.

Strange.

She didn't complain nor did she yelled at me.

She approved.

I went to their house and i was greeted with gifts and presents.

The decoration was mad.

They were actually having a small get together Christmas party.

My dad's employees and aunt Anita's family came.

It was fun.

There were plenty of jollof rice and drinks.

The party ended around 11:35pm.Everybody resided to their home.The ones that will be sleeping over resided to their rooms.

Thank God i still have my princess size room.

I suddenly became emotional.

I remembered Austin and all the Christmas we had...Austin is a Christmas addict because he gets lots of presents from my dad.

I cried myself to sleep that night😭😭.
I started regretting why we went to the party.
Why i convinced Austin to go with me
If only we knew what would happen.
Its so painful to lose a love one.

It was a New Year!

'Happy new year everyone🎊🎊🎊'

That was the new greeting for that week.

My dad still had a new year party for his employees.

School resumes after one week into the new year.

It was annoying though. I still wanted to hangout with my dad and his plenty party-ing.

I went back to my mom's house in order to prepare for school.

My Dad gave me some money though for my upkeep.

I got back home and I felt uncomfortable.

I wanted my dad's house.

My aunt presence.

Funny enough, Anita and i were pretty close during my holiday at their house.

I didn't care anymore about my mom's warning.

I saw her as a friend even though she was older.

She's a good woman.

School resumes and our principal did not fail to keep reminding us about our WAEC and late enrollment will not be accepted.

I improve more on my reading timetable....I won't let my Mom down,I thought or brother.

Meanwhile, Jerry called me wishing me a happy new year and reminding me about the 'drug'.

The thought of it made me scared,I would need some research about this 'drug' I don't want trouble with my Mom. But still i would need it to help me heal faster. I don't want to write my WAEC in a sickly situation.

We planned to meet on a Saturday, my therapy session was on hold,because my therapist travel for the holiday and she isn't back yet.

After my house chores that Saturday,I went to meet Jerry at his house.
He made me feel comfortable as usual.
We talked and played games before the real deal.

He brought out a white substance, urging me to sniff it.
I was reluctant at first,but he mouthed something like 'the wonder drug'.

I smiled and then sniffed.

Hey guys,how y'all doing?

'Hmmmm white substance'....issokay... Issorite....
