Chapter 21

My exams were fast approaching and I was ready,kinda.
The math teacher gave us some past questions to go through. He made it look like we were in the exam hall.He advised us to read that manna will not fall on that day.

Before the closed of school that day the principal called me to his office, asking if i was in a good health to write the upcoming exam.

He said if i need anything i should not fail to ask him. I appreciated his kind gestures but he was right 'am i ready for this exam?'.Question that nobody can answer except me.

It was 2 weeks since i last visited Jerry, he told me to come whenever my own stuff is finished 'the drug'. The drug he gave me was working well,i take it only at night,it helps with the nightmares.

It was Tuesday evening, I got back from school, my Mom wasn't back yet.

As usual.

I changed to a pink singlet and a black short. I typed in the password to my phone and opened my Whatsapp. I have so many messages, especially from my ex-classmates. I haven't been with my phone for close to 5 months, my Mom seized it but she got tired of holding it so she gave me back.I was about going offline when a message popped in...

Hi

Charlotte sent me a message, what does she want? Isn't she tired of destroying my life? I was contemplating on snubbing or replying her.

I just turn off my phone later i will reply her for now am not in the mood.

My Mom came in after some hours, and she made dinner,she was looking so tired and exhausted, she went to bed after then and i watched some movies before bedtime.

The next day was Sunday, I haven't been going to church because my Mom works on Sundays too..So today she made time to go to church.

We got ready and left.

The tall and attractive sign post of the church grazed my eyes

'Saint John Christian Church'.I stepped out and walked majestically with my Mom inside.

The ushers were around to direct us to our seat. We sat down at the third row, fourth seat.

The sermon was based on repentance,love and sacrifice.. The preacher made emphasis on them and how Christ die for us because he loves us. The world is full of evil today and we need to repent and show love to one another so as to make heaven. He said repentance goes along with love. That was the part i heard before i left for the toilet.

The toilet was divided in two,male and female. There were two matured women,three teenage girls in line.

I quietly waited for my turn. When i was done i came out only to see a writing on the wall,with blood 'Austin' and a skeleton's head was drawn at the side. I was shivering, shaking in were i stood. Who did this?The toilet light started shaking, I was hearing a sound like an ocean wind. I was scared i couldn't scream or run. It was as if something held me.

After few minutes,everything returned back to normal,the writing was not there again. Instead i saw three women in my front, one of them said "if you are done please excuse us". I left the entrance of the female toilet and went back inside the church.

After the close of service, some women came to visit my Mom,they were laughing like a comedian was in their midst. I didn't tell my Mom what happened in the toilet. She would concluded that i was no more taking my drugs which is true.

But on a second thought, the drug Jerry gave me was supposed to stop this hallucinating,I thought,hope Jerry did not scam me? Even if he did who will i complain too?

Sorry that i haven't been consistent, it breaks my heart so much😭😭😭
