"Favour are you ready!".

My mother called.

"Almost, I'd be in a minute".I replied.

The summer vacation has just started and i can't wait to see my brother. He is five years older but we have this close relationship.He schools at University of Benin city,Edo State,300level,Studying Electrical Engineering.

My mother is allowing me go because she wants me to have fun,She doesn't want me to be alone and bored to death and also get to catch up with my brother and father because I haven't seen them in thirteen months!i can't believe i survived that, and she knows how close i am to my brother,so she doesn't want to further  break the siblings bond.

    *Allow me to introduce my self*

My name is  Favour Anozie, A teenager(15 years), I live with my Mom at Asaba,Delta State.Am about entering senior secondary school 2.Some people say am too young to be in secondary school but i don't care. Am living my life.
Our house is a three bedroom apartment,fully furnished and decorated.The third room was once a guest room but now the storage room.*chuckles*
My mom(Ms.Angela Osita) is a Nurse.She works at the local hospital near our house.
Am fun,jovial, smart, intelligent,Fashion lover,Social media freak!, but on the inside am Shy,very shy.
Well, am the second and last child of my parents.
My parents separated a year ago after my father confessed on cheating on my mother.
My dad(Mr.Andrew Anozie)has this construction company that is really doing well.My mom was heartbroken though but she's a strong woman.My Mom changed her surname to show that she's really over with my dad.
My dad won custody of my brother(Austin Anozie) in order to continue paying for his education and moved to Benin city,Edo state.while my mother took custody of me.
But that doesn't stop my dad from trying to win me over.

***back to my summer vacation****

Few minutes later, i was ready, I took my luggage to the sitting room and have my mother do her last minute inspection,its kind of a tradition for us whenever we are travelling,making sure we have everything intact.

She was done with her inspection and thereafter gave me some mother-daughter talk, telling me to be safe and be careful of my dad's wife,not to fall for her tricks, always be around my brother,She doesn't want to hear complains from me and i should be in my best behavior.

Few hours later, we were at the Bus Stop and she helped me carry my bag to the bus.

She couldn't come with me because she's working overtime during this summer, secondly she doesn't want to see my father and his "wife" she doesn't know,i know of that part though.

"Call me when you reach,ok".She said."and tell your brother that i love him and he should not get angry for me not coming over,is that clear".she said again hugging me.

" Yes Mom, i will tell him everything, i have to go now, my bus is about to leave, bye Mom".

I said as i entered the bus.

"bye baby,i will miss you".She said as a little drop of tear left her eyes.

Am going to miss her though, but i need this holiday to clear my mind and catch up with my brother and probably my father,as a lot of things have happen in my life just these past few months.

So my Bus departed for Benin city,Edo State, and i just can't wait for this summer to officially start.

     Author's Note:Hey, guys this is my first story on wattpad, am not really into writing but i just wanted to share cos i have some ideas. Hope you enjoyed this chapter!... Be free to point out mistakes and grammatical errors....and i forgot one part, am sorry this chapter is short, don't really know what else to write....Anticipate on the next chapter....
