"When I first came to Camp Half-blood, I was miserable and lonely. I missed everyone- Terris, Gavin, even Celeste... I missed you the most, and to be honest I spent the first week just moping around. When Chiron told me to stay in the Hermes cabin because I wasn't claimed yet, I found my first friends there. Ashton and Daisuke. They were both sons of Hermes, and they were always there for me. We were sort of like the Golden Trio of the demigods." Kia smiled, but there were tears in her eyes. Part of the reason she had never told this to anyone was because it hurt to relive the memories.

"I was Hermione, the smarts of the operation. Ash was the one who asked all the stupid questions, and almost get us caught, like Ron. Dai was Harry, as he was the one who carried out all the pranks." A tear rolled down her cheek, soaking into Alistair's Gryffindor robes. She sniffled. "I used to have a crush on Ash. I told Dai about it, and he laughed, saying that I would get over it." So she did like him once upon a time, mused Alistair to himself. "He told me he'd take the secret to the grave, and he did." By now she was crying softly into the older boy's robes, her voice muffled.

"Aphrodite sent us all on a quest once. We were attacked by a Chimera, and Dai sacrificed himself for us." Kia choked, and Alistair rubbed soothing patterns on her back. "I told all my secrets to him, and every time he'd joke, saying he'd take it to the grave. It hurts, Alistair, it hurts so damn much. I spent the next few months mourning alone in my cabin. I didn't talk to anyone, not even Ash, or Nico, or even Hazel!" Alistair cooed softly as Kia's body shook, sobs wracking her petite frame. "I spent years searching in the fields of Elysium for his ghost. Sure, I found a couple of cool wizards by the name of the Marauders, but I never found him." She looked up at him, tears running down her face. "Why? It's so unfair! He was so innocent and kind, and the Fates just had to kill him that way!"

Alistair frowned. "Maybe he lived, but he didn't come back."

Kia shook her head. "I'm a daughter of Pluto, Alistair! I can sense when people die!"

"Aw, am I intruding?" Thea's face was lit up in silver, so Kia knew she wasn't really there, just a projection of her powers. But listening to Kia's speech, she felt sort of bad. Thea knew how bad losing someone close to your heart was, she had lost Tori, and nearly lost herself that way. And she also knew why Dai couldn't be found in Elysium: he had been erased when she messed up the timeline. So essentially, he was one little death to protect the world from being destroyed by Night again. Thea knew that someone had died and been erased when she turned back time, she just didn't realise the consequences of it. Breaking the heart of a powerful daughter of Pluto? Not her best move. But secretly, she was glad. Kia had finally opened herself up to someone. "Don't worry, I won't tell your overprotective older brother. But Alistair still has some explaining to do, so I can't let you out yet. Bon voyage, consobrino meo. Pacem cum fragmentis."

Kia glared at the projection of Thea, angrily wiping her tears away. "Thea, get the hell out." While she was crying, she had grabbed on to Alistair's wrists, and now she was clutching them far too tightly. Alistair grunted in pain. Kia apologized half-heartedly, letting go of his arm.

Thea disappeared, but not before keeping half her mind watching Alistair and Kia. She pulled Gavin to aside, before linking their minds, pouring her knowledge on the Greek and Roman gods into his head, and he lurched backwards. "You need a history lesson, Professor Silverdrake."

Kia turned to Alistair, her face still clouded with sorrow and rage. Alistair cowered back. Frankly, he was terrified of her current expression, and he wished Thea hadn't left so her main wrath wouldn't be focussed on him. "What did she mean by 'you have some explaining to do'?"

Alistair sighed, shaking his head. "It's a long story."

Kia scowled. "So what?" She prodded his chest with a finger. "Spill." Alistair rolled his eyes in defeat.

"After you left, I was miserable. It was so lonely without you- Gavin hung out with his wizard friends, and both Terris and Celeste were always away. When it was my turn to go to Hogwarts, not only was I nervous about which house I'd be sorted into, I was also nervous about who my friends would be." Kia couldn't help but focus on his slight Irish lilt. She knew him well enough to know that it appeared every time he got emotional.

"I met Jensen on the train. We immediately became friends, but we got sorted in different houses. I was in Gryffindor and he was in Hufflepuff." Alistair shook his head, emotions welling up in him. He slumped back, and Kia snuggled into his side, nodding for him to continue.

"So you went with the lions, and he joined the badgers, right?" The Hogwarts insignia burned fresh in Kia's mind, but she couldn't quite match the names to the colors, to the animals.

"Yup. We were rarely in the same classes, so we spent the rest of our free time together. We became the school pranksters, sorta like the Marauders except I was James and Sirius and he was Remus and Peter." Alistair stared off into the distance. "We were like brothers, the daredevil heroes of the school. Sure, we were young, but we were reckless... Well mainly me. I was the more mischievous one, and Jen was slightly more sensible."

Thea knew that Jensen and Alistair had been friends before, but the hate that had spilled from his mind when she opened it... It was overwhelming. She had never seen so much hate in a person's life, except maybe Leah towards Tom. But Leah had used to crush on Tom... Thea looked shocked. She knew where this story was headed.

Alistair pulled a face, emerald eyes a mask of hatred and disgust. "We were sort of like that green man from the Muggle stories who stole from the rich and gave it the poor... I forgot his name, but I remember it was Robin something."

"Robin Hood." Kia filled in for him gently.

"Robin Hood, right. Anyway, after witnessing people being bullied we pranked the bullies themselves, and most of the younger years looked up to us." Alistair coughed. "We were in third year when I heroically rescued a first or second year Hufflepuff from being buried in the snow in winter. When I saved her, she was blushing really hard and thanking me repeatedly, and I was like 'aww, no problem kid'. But then Jen got really mad, he kinda hinted that he wanted to speak to me alone and she left. I said 'Bro, what's your problem? I'm just making small talk with the kids!' Guess what he said? He said 'I'm gay, you son of a banshee. I've been gay for you since first year.' I freaked and ran away, but that was totally expected right?"

Kia nodded in agreement. "Yeah, if Thea or Satan... ahem, I meant Saturn, suddenly said they were les, I'd freak too. Plus, that was so blunt! How do expect someone not to freak out?" The 'satan' thing was an accident- Alistair had taken off his robes(don't worry, he was wearing a shirt underneath) and draped it around her shoulders after seeing her hug her knees to her chest, and she had a sudden brain fart and couldn't think straight.

"I KNOW RIGHT? Anyway, the next time I saw him, he was hanging out with a bunch of dark looking Slytherins. Sure, there's no more house rivalry besides quidditch tournaments, but they still looked kinda sketchy. In fifth year, Jen crossed the line. He actually went and cursed a third year that I had helped!" Alistair clenched his fist, a vein popping up in his arm. "I'm so glad he got expelled. I don't know how the bloody hell I would have dealt with him, but I probably would have punched his nose right off." He snarled. "Honestly, I would have given him a new makeover and made him look like Voldemort." He closed his eyes, rubbing his temple. "That's why I'm so afraid to trust anybody now. You don't know who might backstab or betray you."
