Kia scowled in annoyance. "Bloody hell, I hate manticores." Stupid Broom Girl with her stupid phone. Hopefully it didn't get them all killed. She gathered her shadows into two halves, the first for shadow travelling and the second as weaponry.
Thea's face matched her scowl. Notching and arrow, she let it fly, before she put it away. Thalia had told her such: her arrows weren't going to do much. She grinned. "About time a monster came around. I've been dying for a kill." Taking out her blade, silver shining under the sunlight, she leapt, her strength coursing through her veins as she jumped, silver energy curling around her fingers as she blasted a bolt of hot silver energy towards the manticore, careful not to blast her friend. She removed her second knife and grinned. She may not use her sword, but her two hunting knives were sufficient.
Kia melted into the shadows, appearing downwind from the Manticore, conjuring a shield from the shadows. She grabbed her sword from it's scabbard, creeping closer. She lunged, only to be batted aside by the massive tail. Grunting, she rolled and got up again, slightly dazed.
Deina blinked a few times, wondering why she was lying on the ground. Where was her phone?
Thea glared at Deina. "Deedee, about time you got up. Help us kill this thing." She helped up Kia, and she threw a dagger, causing the Manticore to rear back in pain. She blasted the Manticore again, a long stream of silver energy pushing back the monster.
Kia sent the shadows flying, multiple dark knives plunging into the Manticore's thick hide. The Manticore howled. "Booyah bee-otches!" She shouted triumphantly.
Kia's triumph didn't last long, as the Manticore lunged forward again, eyes blazing. "You, die! For the nasty huntresses, I hunt you!" The Manticore pounced towards Kia, and Thea gasped. "No!" The young goddess jumped in front of the still injured Kia, her wings bursting from her back, shielding the two of them from the Manticore. Her wings cut through the monster, the Stygian iron dissolving at his essence.
Kia grunted. "I never knew Manticores could speak... Maybe because they sound too bad for human ears."
"He has a human face, Kia. What did you expect. Maybe something called vocal cords?"
"Never really paid attention. I do so many quests for Aphrodite most monsters that try to kill me are empousai and other fashion freaks."
"Of course, empousai. Bloody blood-suckers." Thea grinned. "I guess this is our old friend Dr Thorn. The one who kidnapped Annabeth and brought her to General Atlas." Thea glared at him. "Having held the sky before and had a nice chat with Atlas, I do not like you. At all." Thea's blades flashed, and the decapitated head toppled onto the floor, and disappeared into yellow dust.
"What even is a manticore?" Deina asked, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
"Have you not done your homework, Deedee. Manticores are dangerous, it takes many demigods usually to kill one, but us two are a bit more than your average demigod, right?"
Kia waved her not-broken hand. "Ambrosia or nectar anyone? A little help would be nice."
Thea grinned. "It sure would be, wouldn't it." She sprinted over, her silver energy curling around Kia's broken hand. "This will hurt a bit, but you'll be healed faster." Examining the fractures, she sent a jolt through Kia's system, before all her injuries healed.
Kia yelped. "Bloody hell! An earlier warning next time?" She stared at her arm. "Thanks, but no thanks."
"I did warn you. Three seconds should be enough for you to realise it'll hurt. You are a child of the Big Three, aren't you." Thea's mind suddenly went into overload, and a load of images filled her mind, and she winced.
"Well three seconds earlier would help. Plus, it's not like my father is the most powerful of the Three. Currently, the most powerful demigod would probably be Percy."
Thea looked appalled. "I'll let you know that I have been through everything Percy has. But technically I'm not a demigod any more, so..." Thea scratched her head. "Yup Percy is strongest."
Kia glared at Thea. "Quite true. I wonder where I rank... Probably somewhere below Nico."
Saturn looked at Kia, a curious look on her face as she let her bow done, slipping the arrow down back into it's quiver. She wasn't hurt, but she was still silent.
Thea smirked. "Let's see. Percy is the strongest, followed closely by Nico. Jason is after him, and then it's Thalia. Hazel is, no offence, the weakest of the Big Three peeps. Where would you fit in? Probably right at the bottom."
''Arrogance is not a way to solve things, Thea.'' Saturn scowled quietly, as she glared at her ''We're all the same, nothing matters.''
Kia's eyes flashed dangerously. "Don't forget, I don't know who my mother is. I may be more powerful that you think, Carter." She conjured the shadows around her. "I don't need to be an Oracle or a Seer to guarantee that pride will be your downfall." She took a step back into the shadows and disappeared.
"Experience, my friend. Experience." Thea sighed. They were all so quick to think. Thea wasn't even talking about herself. Kia was always so moody, and the little Apollo child wasn't really in this conversation. "You can't put a demigod in a fight unless you see who is stronger. Kill or be killed, demigods. Adieu." Thea vanished as well, sending herself back to my cabin. Sleep. Beautiful sleep.

Alistair apparated into the strawberry fields outside Camp Half-blood. "I have to find Chiron the centaur," he muttered to himself, "Apparently he'll give me a lead to where Kia is." He trudged right through the barrier, coming face to face with a giant dragon.
"Watch where you're going, boy." Thea glared at the newcomer, before recognizing the boy. Those dark, dark eyes, like bottomless pits, the cruel smile, the same angular cheekbones. Her voice softened a bit. "I guess you're looking for Kia. I'm Arthella, Kia's cousin, so your cousin as well. You might have heard of me, but if you don't, don't worry I don't take it personally. Kia's in the big black cabin, you won't miss it. That place reeks. Tell her I said sorry about the Manticore, and ask her how's her wrist for me. Thanks!"
In a flash, Alistair had his wand to Thea's throat. "How do I know for sure that you're not lying? I've had enough of liars." He growled, sounding like a werewolf. "Ick, I sound like Teddy with a sore throat." He grumbled to himself. He froze. "Wait. What do you mean by 'my cousin as well'? I don't know you, girl." He prodded his wand into Thea's neck with more force. "Speak up, lady, or I'll hex you." He snarled threateningly, green eyes stormy.
"Oh my gods, I'm so scared." Thea scoffed, and disarmed the young wizard with a swift kick to the balls and a round-house kick to the face. "Funny, you should have faster reflexes than that. Let me reintroduce myself. My name is Arthella, the goddess of Time, slayed of the Night. And I've have enough of you Brits."
Alistair groaned, rolling on the floor in agony. "Bloody hell, sometimes I wish I was a girl." He summoned his wand with a wordless accio. "Volatilis Lutum!" He grinned. Like the famous Ginny Weasley, he excelled at Bat-Bogey Hexes. Revenge was sweet. "Don't insult Brits, Americano. By the way, I'm Irish."
Thea smirked, and rolled out of the way, before blasting the dark haired demigod with a bolt of moonlight. The demigod crumpled, and she lassoed him with another string, before dragging him all the way to Cabin 13. "Kia!" She yelled. "Kia you have a family visit! Come out you poodle!"
