Chapter 32

Lauren's POV:

"What're you doing Ashley?!" I ask as I quickly stood up from the bed

"Don't take another step or I WILL blow her brains out" Ashley stated calmly

"It's okay Camzi, I promise, everything will be okay. We'll get -"

"SHUT THE HELL UP!" Ashley screams

"If you think she can just take you away from me AGAIN then you're wrong Lauren"

"Wha-what're you talking about Ashley? What do you mean again?" I ask as I walk a little closer causing Ashley to pull the trigger back

"Okay, okay!" I put out my hands, trying to stop her from the distance I'm standing

Ashley scoffs and rolls her eyes at me "Like you don't know"

I stare at Camila. She's still crying silently, tears flowing from her eyes like waterfalls. I'm begging her through my eyes to stay strong so we can make it out of this together and unharmed

"I was here first Lauren!" My eyes shift back to Ashley "I was your best friend first until this bitch came into the picture! She took you from me and you didn't care Lauren"

I look at her confused "I don't remember that.."

She laughs "of course you don't. We used to do everything together Lauren! We had sleepovers, went to school together, our families went on vacation with each other, everything, but Camila had to ruin it "

Ashley tightens her grip on Camila and Camila lets out a yelp, and before I could stop it Ashley hits Camila over the head with the butt of her gun

"NO, CAMILA!" I go to run to her but Ashley points her gun at me

"That's when the accident happened and I thought you both were dead but they just made you both forget"

Ashley continues to talk as she looks down at Camila's unconscious body, I move closer without her knowing "We lost touch but then my parents started working with yours again so I switched and moved here. I saw you and caught feelings for you so we started dating then we broke up, for God knows why-"

"you were too clingy" I state and she looks up at me with a smirk

"Anyway,  I got mad because then I started seeing you with that.... thing..."

"Don't talk about her like that!" I scream as I take a step forward, and Ashley steps forward as well, still pointing the gun at me

"go ahead and shoot" She continues to look at me as digs the gun into my stomach

We stare into each pothers eyes, both of us holding anger in our eyes "Not yet" she steps away

"I'm not supposed to kill you just yet, but know when the time comes, I wont hesitate to do so"

Ashley looks at me and Camila one more time before leaving the room and locking it behind her

"Camz.." I run up to her and hold her unconscious body in my arms

A few minutes go by of me just running my fingers through her hair when she finally wakes

"Laur.." I hold her closer

"Shh, it's okay. We're gonna get out of here" I tell her as I start to look around the room

I spot the window as I help Camz up and onto the bed. I go over and see how far the drop is

"We're going to have to go out the window Camz. That's the only way out" I tell her as I see her holding her head

"Okay Laur, I'll try my hardest"

I push Ashley's desk chair to the door, locking the chair under the door handle before going to Camila and helping her up

We move to the window and I help her out and down first before I start climbing out

"Go start the car, I'm coming" I throw Camila the keys before going back into the room and to the computer. I send the email to my email then delete it out of her sent messages so Ashley doesn't know

Right when I start to climb out the window, I hear Ashley try to open the door

"OPEN THE DOOR LAUREN" I hurry to climb out the window and that's when I hear gun shots

I sprint to the car and jump in "GO!"

Camila peels out and drives out of the gates and onto the street. Once we're far enough she stops the car and gasps

"Lo, you're shot" I look down at my bleeding shoulder then back at Camila before passing out
