Chapter Eight

~Alex's POV~

"We should probably go," Hayes said.

"Wait, where are you guys going?" Shawn asked.

"We are going to pick up Hayes' girlfriend, Bailey," I said.

"Oh. Okay, come here real quick." I walked over to Shawn an bent down because he was sitting on a bed. He. Kissed. Me. In. Front. Of. Everyone. I blushed.

"Oh," I said.

"Bye beautiful," he said.

"Bye!" I said running out the open door. Hayes was waiting for me.

"Come on!" He said running to the elevator.

"Alright. Alright, I'm comin'.. I'm comin'."

We got down stairs and went out a back door. There, a black SUV was waiting for us.

"COME ON. YOU'RE BEING REALLY SLOW!" Hayes said already in the car. I ran and got in too.

"She must really mean something to you, huh?" I asked.

"Uh, yeah!" He said. The rest of the car ride was quiet, but with my humming and Hayes's foot tapping it was exceptional.

We got to the airport and before you could say 'swag', Hayes was out of the car and running.

"Hayes, slow down!" I yelled. He stopped for a second to let me catch up to him.

"Alright, I'll race you to baggage claim," I said running towards baggage claim. I beat him. We waited there for like 2 or 3 minutes before we heard "HAAAAAAYES!" Hayes whipped his head in the direction from which his name was called.

"BAAAAAILEY!" He yelled running up to her and picking her up and spinning her around in a circle. I must admit, they were cute.

"Bailey, I want you to meet Shawn's girlfriend Alexis. Alexis, this is my girlfriend, Bailey!" Hayes said.

"Hi Bailey!" I said waving awkwardly. "But, just to clarify, Shawn and I aren't dating!" Hayes rolled his eyes.

"Y'all might as well be," he mumbled.

"Hi!" She said. "You're really pretty!" She added.

"Nah, that's you!" I said.

"Come on! The guys and I have a lot of things planned today, plus, magcon is only an hour long event today!" Hayes said grabbing Baileys hand. Bailey slightly blushed and followed. Shortly behind them there I was.

I got a text. It was from an unknown number. It said 'Hey babe. You should stop being a slut and back off Shawn. He's mine, okay?' I just stopped dead in my tracks.

"Alexis?" Hayes said walking over to me. "Are you alright?"

"Uh, y-yeah. Le-let's go," I said nervously looking around.

-Baileys POV-

Alex was so pretty holy crap.

We got to the car and she sat next to the window, and I sat in the middle. She looked really sad. She didn't really talk the whole ride to the hotel. She just kept looking at her phone, I think she was rereading a message or something, I'm not sure.

"Hey, are you okay?" I whispered to her, which had no point at all, everyone is this quiet car could hear the whole conversation.

"Uh, ye-yeah. I'm fine!" She said trying to reassure me, with a very unconvincing, sloppy grin.

"Okay, well if you need to talk I'm here." I said, it went quiet again, I think Alex is sweet, so I'm gonna ask her if I can stay with her, "Hey, can I bunk with you, because my mom said that I could just stay with my aunt but shes cray."

"Yeah, of course." She said smiling. "Although, Shawn may be sleeping in the room with us, too, he says 'you have a better bed than me,' but he's only slept in my bed," she scoffed, playfully rolling her eyes, but you could see the admiration in her eyes, I smiled at that, and nodded, Hayes would probably end up staying with us too, at some point or another.

~Shawn's POV~

Alex is still getting hate on twitter. I want to help her I do, I just don't know how, how do you help someone in that situation though? Like, I know that I get hate but it's not as bad as Alex, I'm not even sure how they found her, or her twitter.

Hayes, Bailey, and Alexis walked through the door, Alex was sad. She came and got me and asked if we could talk in the hall. I nodded, and smiled slightly at her. When we got out there I didn't know what to expect. She started crying and handed me her phone. It was on the texting app. There was a text from and unknown number on the screen. I knew who it was right away. Valentina.

"Shawn, I don't know who it is, or how they got my number!" She said crying a little harder.

"Alex, it's okay. Okay? I promise. It'll all be fine!" I grabbed her and pulled her in for a tight hug.

"Can you come with me down to my room to fix my makeup?" She said intertwining our fingers and rubbing her thumb over my index finger.

"Yes, come on," I said, smiling at this beautiful girl in front of me.

We walked to the elevator and I kissed her. Sparks flew everywhere. Whenever we're together, my stomach does flips and twirls. I felt like Alex and I really had chemistry, I know we just met - but I feel like we've known each other for eternity. This is cheesy, but Alex and I we're like puzzle pieces; we fit together perfectly. Her imperfections balancing out my imperfections. And of course my imperfections balancing out her imperfections; making us perfect for each other.

~Alex's POV~

Shawn knows just what to do when I'm sad. We got in the elevator and he kissed me. I felt the zoo in my stomach and sparks rushed through my body.

"Shawn," I started.

"Yes babe?" He asked.

"Uh, uhm, do you think I'm pretty?" I said putting my head down. He lifted my head up with his index finger and said,

"No." He paused, smiled and licked his lips, "I think you're beautiful!"

"I don't think I'm pretty. I don't understand why you think I'm pretty," I said looking up at him, then looking at my hands, nervously I played with them not knowing what to do next.

"Everything. You're funny, nice, outgoing yet shy, bubbly, mysterious, and beautiful."

"Shawn, maybe, we should stop acting like we're dating, because you know, we're not," I said.

"But I don't want to. I like this. I like it a lot," He said holding both of my hands.

"But Shawn, we aren't dating."

"Fine. Alexis Samantha Harmony, will you make me the happiest boy in the world and be my girlfriend?"

"I'll have to think about it," I put my index finger in my chin and said, "Yes! Of course!" I got up on my tippy toes to kiss him. I think my braces hurt him because when we pulled away he instantly put his hand on his lips.

"Ow! That hurt! Your braces are evil!" He said leaning into kiss me again.

"Yet, you kiss me again!" I said smiling.

"Shh, just let me kiss you," Shawn smiled.
