Chapter Fourteen

~Alex's POV~

When we got back to my place, all of the boys were there.

"Hey guys! Welcome home!" They yelled as we walked through my front door.

"Oh lord! You didn't!" I said smiling.

"We made you guys a home cooked meal, it may not be great, but it's the thought that counts, yeah?" Jack J said. I giggled. They had made up some lasagna and just in case they had already ordered a pizza.

"That's so sweet guys!" I said wobbling over to them giving them a kiss on the cheek.

"We wanted you guys to feel good on your first night out of the shitty hospital," Nash said.

"Well let's say Grace and try and eat this lasagna!" I said jokingly. "Well, this is..."

"Awful!" Cam said.

"I wasn't going to say that, but it is kind of gross, it tastes like a lot of pepper and garlic!" I said.

"Well I'm glad we have pizza!" Jack G said. All the boys agreed, and I have to admit, I did too.

At the dinner table, we caught up with everybody and laughed and had an amazing time.

~Shawn's POV~

Alright Shawn, it's now or never. You have to give her the promise ring. What if she says no? What if she laughs at me? What if she breaks up with me? What am I saying, I think Alexis loves me. And I know that, everyone knows that.

Hayes and Cam are the only ones who know that I'm gonna give her a promise ring. I looked at Cam and caught his attention, I gave him a 'should I do it now?' Look. He nodded. Hayes caught on. He gave me an encouraging look, smiling wide.

"Alexis? Can you come outside with me, please?" I asked nervously, scratching the back of my neck.

"Yeah, sure what's up baby?" She asked. I could see fright in her eyes. Oh god, those eyes.

"We just need to talk," I said standing up, grabbing my crutches, then motioning her to follow after she stood up, too. We got outside, and it was beautiful. I honestly didn't think Hayes and Cam were capable of something like this. Wow. I brought her to the hammock, and let her sit down, I stood there for a moment.

"Shawn, what's going on, are you breaking up with me?" She asked nervously, tears starting to brim in her eyes.

"No! Of course not!" I said, focusing on both her and my balance, I bent down pushing strands of hair behind her ear before I got on one knee (bad leg laying flat, and good leg bent). She looked shocked. "Look, I know we've only known each other for a little over two months now, but I just feel like I know you so well, and I love you, so much. You're literally my everything, Alexis Samantha Harmony. You're my rock. You're my safe place. You're my world. You're more than that, you're my entire universe, I know this is cheesy but I love you to the edge of our universe and back one billion times. You are literally my sun, my stars, my moon, and most of all, my everything. I can't ever lose you. Now, I'm gonna give you this ring as a promise to our relationship saying that we will always love each other, through thick times and through thin, that we will never cheat on one an other, and that no matter what, we will stay by each others sides, so do you promise?" I asked nervously, taking my lip into my mouth, a nervous habit that I picked up off of Alex.

"Oh, my. Shawn this ring is so beautiful, yet simple! Of course I'll take the promise ring!" She said and jumped into my arms causing us to fall. God I love her so much. Once I finished, I realized that Cam and Hayes were out here recording everything.

"What the hell?" I said directing it toward Cam and Hayes.

"Well...uh...we wanted to get this on video because ya know it was a special moment, and it was really sedimental. Plus, you can show your children!" Cam said, smiling sheepishly.

"Amen!" Hayes said.

"You guys are so weird. Like seriously!" Alex said, smiling sweetly at them. "But thanks that was really sweet, what you did for me, for us!" Alex got up and hopped over to them. She hugged both of them and gave them a kiss on the cheek.

•Hayes POV•

Wow. That hug made me really miss Bailey.

"Aaaaaaalexxx," I said, so sweet you could practically hear the honey dripping off of my voice.

"Oh god. What do you want now?" She asked, playfully, of course.

"I was uh, wondering if we could maybe fly Bailey out here; I really miss her!" I said wrapping my arms around her waist. She pretended to think about of for a second.

"OF COURSE! I miss that girl so much!" She said. Her responce made me feel very excited! I called her right away.

Phone call:

Bailey: hey babyy
Me: hiya Bai!
Bailey: well you seem extra happy! What's going on?
Me: well I just talked to Alex, and she said it would be alright if you came to LA! She really misses you; so do I, so what do you say?
Bailey: YAAAASSS! OF COURSE! I MISS Y'ALL SO MUCH!
Me: okay, so I'll book you a ticket, go get packed!
Bailey: okay!
Me: love you baby girl!
Bailey: love you too!

*end of phone call*

"BAILEY'S COMING HERE! BAILEY'S COMING HERE! GUYS BAILEY'S COMING HERE!" I yelled running through the house.

"Good, maybe you'll stop being so annoying!" Nash said.

"Shut up, Nashley!" I yelled. All the guys laughed.

-Nash's POV-

After an hour of sitting there doing nothing.

"Let's play truth or dare, or something!" I said to everyone because we were literally just sitting there on our phones, typical but it gets really boring after awhile.

"Okayy!" Alex was the first to agree, then Shawn then Taylor then Hayes, and so on. "Alright Nashty, go first, you decided the game!"

"Okay, Taylor, truth or dare?" I asked.

"Uhm, dare, of course!" He said, laughing.

"I dare you to twerk in a person of your choice face!" I said. He of course chose Alex.

"Okay! Done! Alex, truth or dare?" He asked.

"Uh, truth. I don't trust you guys!" She said.

"Uh, okay, if you and Shawn hadn't met on the plane, do you think any one of us would have had a chance with you?" Taylor asked, gesturing around the circle to the rest of us boys, valid and decent question for truth or dare.

"Uh, probably not. Because I've always had a soft spot for Shawn. I would literally obsess over him! Just saying," she said awkwardly. We all laughed.

"Truth or dare Shawn?" She asked.

"Daree!" He said.

"I dare you to kiss me for as long as you can until you run out of breath!" She said.

"Challenge excepted!" He said. They made-out for like 12 minutes. Damn. Shawn can kiss for a long ass time. I bet it's those singer lungs.

We played a few more rounds before Shawn and Alex went to bed, followed by everyone else. I was the last one but eventually I went to bed too. I fell asleep faster than you could say 'awkward'! Thank god.
