Chapter Thirteen

~Alex's POV~

When I woke up I had a serious headache. I heard beeping. What the hell? I looked over and realized I was in the hospital. No one was in the room with me. I hit the nurses button. Almost immediately a really pretty middle-aged woman appeared at the door.

"Hi! You pushed the call botton, how are things?" She asked.

"Hi, uhm, I was just wondering what happened?" I asked nervously.

"Well sweetie, I'm gonna call your doctor, she should be right in, okay?" She said.

"Okay," I said back. After a few nervous moments, a doctor appeared.

"Why hello, Alexis! How are you?" She asked.

"I'm...uh good. What exactly happened? Where is my boyfriend, Shawn?" I asked playing with my wrist band.

"That's great, and you were in a car accident roughly 9 hours ago and you broke your ankle and arm. You also have a concussion. And Shawn? What's his last name?" She said.

"Yeah, uh, Shawn Mendes," I said.

"Oh, yes. Shawn, he's fine. He has a broken leg and a few stitches. But he'll be okay, do you want to go see him?" She asked. My eyes grew big and my heart started to race.

"You mean I can?!" I asked.

"Of course sweetie!" She said. I nodded my head and she helped me out if my bed and into a wheelchair.

~Shawn's POV~

Damn it I just want to see Alex. She's all I care about right now. I was interrupted by someone knocking on the door.

"Come in," I yelled.

"Hey baby!" I heard a rather comforting and familiar voice say. Ahh Alex.

"Baby!" I smiled. "I'm so sorry! I wasn't paying enough attention. I should have just kept my eyes on the road!"

"Hey, hey, hey! Stop it, it wasn't your fault! Okay? It's not like your purposely got hit by a car, okay, hey listen to me, please!" Alex said kissing me.

"I should have been paying more attention," I said, now crying.

"Stop. Look at me," She said. "I'm fine. You're fine, okay?"

"Okay, can you please come lay with me?" I asked nervously. She nodded and he pressed the call button a nurse appeared. "Can you please help my beautiful girlfriend on the bed?" She nodded and helped Alex into the bed.

We laid there for the rest of the night just cuddling and talking.

~Alex's POV~

We were woken up by doctors telling us that we could leave.

"Yaaaasss!" I said letting out a sigh of relief. "Can you call one of the boys so we can get a ride back to my place? I can't drive and neither can you, obviously."

"Yeah, hang on let me call Taylor!" Shawn said grabbing his phone. He put it on speaker.

**Phone call**

Taylor: wussup man?
Shawn: hey, can you come pick me and Alex from the hospital?
Taylor: yeah, sure I'll be there in 20!
Shawn: thanks!
Taylor: no problem.

**end of phone call**

"Taylor's on his way," Shawn said getting up grabbing his crutches.

"Okay," I said standing there with my crutches.

"Alright, Mr.Mendes and Ms.Harmony, just sign these papers and you are free to leave!" The doctor said. Shawn and I signed the papers. And soon Taylor arrived.

"Lexi! Shawn!" He yelled.

"TAY TAY!" I yelled back.

"Uh, Lexi?" Shawn asked.

"Haha, taylor called me that the first time we talked because he didn't want to be like everyone else and call me Alex," I said.

"Oh, why don't I get to call you anything special? I mean I am your boyfriend!" Shawn said.

"You get to call me Baby! No one else calls me that, except my mom when she gets excited," I said.

"Good," Shawn said kissing me. I kissed back, this was one of the most romantic and passionate kisses I've ever experienced.
