Chapter Fifteen

~Alex's POV~

I couldn't stop looking at my promise ring. It was 7AM and I was wide awake. I was still in Shawn's grip though. My promise ring had 4 diamonds on it and on the inside, it said "Promise me". I can't believe Shawn got me this ring. It meant so much to me. I love it, but not half as much as I love him, I wouldn't risk my life for this ring, but I sure as hell would risk my life for Shawn.

"Shawn, I know you're asleep, but I just wanted to say thank you so much for the promise ring. It means so much to me. And I love you so much you don't even understand. Thank you for the adventures we've had. Thank you for the experiences. Thank you for everything you've ever done for me, which is a lot by the way. I honestly can't thank you enough for saving my life, more than once. I love you so much Shawn," I said and gently kissed his forehead. "Also, I'm about four or five weeks clean, and that's all because of you. The scars are fading and it's a little hard to see them barely there anymore, but it's a sign that I'm getting better. Some days are harder than others, but if I've got you in my life, I know I have something to look forward to."

"I love you too Alexis. And thank you for everything!" He said back instantly. I blushed. "And about the self harm bit, I'm glad to have helped such a beautiful girl, and I'm also very happy to hear that your scars are fading, and I know it gets hard, but I'm always here, okay?"

"I didn't think you were awake!" I said covering my face. "And thank you."

"I've been awake since 6:30. I couldn't sleep. I love you Alex," Shawn said kissing me. His morning voice was...GAAHH! I can't even explain it.

"Oh," that's all I could say. "I see."

"You're so adorable Alex. I love you more than you'll ever know!" He said kissing my nose.

~Shawn's POV~

That speech Alex gave me was so cute. She got nervous which made it a billion times better.

"I love you," I said kissing her nose.

"I love you too!" She said back. "I'm gonna head down stares and make breakfast!" She hopped over to her dresser and pulled out sweatpants, and pulled out one of her hoodies. She's so beautiful. She wobbled back over to the bed and put her sweats on, but had difficulties because of her cast, she then put on her hoodies, and then grabbed her crutches. She looked back at me and smiled sweetly, then left the room.

When I finally decided to get out of bed, Alex was sitting on the couch watching tv and on Twitter. 'Im gonna scare her!' I thought to myself.

"BOOO!" I yelled.

"Ah! Shit, Shawn!" She said playfully punching me. She turned around and kissed the corner of my mouth.

"Oh, being a tease I see!" I said smirking.

"Mmm-hmm!" She said running her hands through my hair. I pulled her into a hug, and slid my hands down to her butt. She jumped.

"I can be a tease too," I whispered then pulled away from the hug and she was blushing.

"Shawn, wait, come back!" She said giving me the puppy dog face, she knew I couldn't resist. I turned around and walked back.

"I love you!" she whispered, and kissed me.

"Ew can you get a room, please?" Hayes yelled.

"Nah, we're fine right here!" Alex said, presenting a smile that resembled much of a small childs.

"Alex! Alex! Alex! We have to go get Bailey! She's gonna be here in an hour! At 12!" Hayes said running down the stares.

"Well, I can't exactly drive, now can I?" Alex said pointing down to her cast.

"Taylor said he would give us a ride! Please, please come with me!" He begged sitting by her now.

"Okay, okay," Alex said back, smiling.

"YAAASSS!" Hayes yelled."HAYES SHUT UP! YOUR VOICE IS SO DAMN ANNOYING !" Nash yelled from upstairs.

"GUYS COME DOWN HERE, ALEX MADE US A HOME COOKED BREAKFAST!" Hayes yelled. Soon all the other boys were in the dinning room, most were shirtless.

We ate breakfast, and it was a pretty great meal, if I must admit. A lot of the meal was thrown from on person to anohter, but the boys made sure it didn't go too far off the table, they knew if they got it anywhere else they would have to pick it up. After Alex was done eating, she looked at Taylor who had been finished for a long time, he nodded, and she said: "Alright, Taylor's gonna take me to the store!"

"For what?" Carter asked.

"I need tampons," Alex said, shrugging.

"Okey, well that was TOO MUCH INFORMATION!" Matt said. Alex just chuckled.

"Wait what about Bailey?!" Hayes asked worried.

"She texted me and told me that she missed her flight, she will be here in a week or so. Now I really need to go to the store!" Alex said. They walked out the door, I wonder if they were really going to the store? I'm gonna text her.

Me: Are you guys actually going to the store?
Alex: nah, we're going to pick up Bailey, we told Hayes that her flight got canceled so it'd be a surprise!
Me: oh. Ok. I love you babe!😚
Alex: love you too!

~Alex's POV~

I hope Hayes likes this surprise! Like, really honestly likes it. I see how happy they make each other, sure they may be young, but their love seemed to be the love of an eighty-year-old couple.

"What do you think Hayes' reaction is gonna be?" Taylor asked, turning down the music.

"Hmm, good question. I have no clue, but I hope he likes it!" I said to Taylor.

"Yeah, me too! Now how do you get to the airport?" Taylor asked. I gave him the directions and we drove there. He parked and helped me out of the car.
