Chapter Eighteen

~Alex's POV~

I decided to wake up early and make the boys pancakes and bacon. I hear footsteps coming down the stairs and Bailey appears.

"Good morning! How'd you sleep?" I ask turning towards the stove again.

"Good mornin'! And I slept great! I'm so thankful that Hayes flew me here! I missed y'all so much!" Bailey said going to the fridge. She pulled out a Gatorade. "How did you and Shawn sleep?" She asked smirking.

"I had trouble falling asleep, but then Shawn woke up and told me he loved me and I fell asleep like instantly," I said flipping a pancake.

"That smells amazing!" Bailey said hopping on the counter next to the stove. "When your done do you wanna go wake up all the guys?"

"Yes! How are we gonna do it?" I asked feeling mischievous.

"We could use an air horn? Or we could turn on sirens?" She suggested.

"Air horn! Yes!" I said flipping the last pancake. "Okay, so my mom has one in the shed!"

"Okay!" Bailey said. She ran out to the shed and grabbed the air horn. We then walked (well I wobbled but yanno) into the room Nash and Cam were sharing first.

"1...2...3...GO!" I said. Bailey pushed the button and she was quick to run into the next room and do it again.

After everyone was awake, we ate.

"Thanks for the pancakes Lexi. But the way you decided to wake us up was mean!" Taylor said, giving a faux pout.

"Yeah!" Half the other boys agreed.

"Sorry, y'all were asleep for too long!" Bailey said. I nodded and shrugged.

"Morning babe!" Shawn said putting his arm around my waist and kissing my head.

"Morning!" I said back.

"OH, OKAY, SO YOU WAKE ALL OF US UP BUT YOU DON'T WAKE YOUR GUY'S BOYFRIENDS?! FEELIN' THE LOVE GUYS. FEELIN' THE LOVE!" Matt yelled. Everyone just laughed, except Carter. Why?

-Carter's POV-

"Alright, guys! I have to go!" I said getting off the couch.

"Where are you goin'?" Hayes questioned.

"I am going to meet Kailey, we're gonna talk about things," I said back smiling.

"Cool? Where are you guys meetin' up at?" Hayes asked again.

"Disney, got anymore unwanted questions?" I asked.

"Nah, but can I come with you?" Hayes asked.

"Hates, honey! He's going to meet up with Kailey, it's not for fun!" Alex said, slightly laughing.

"Thank you Alex!" I said. She nodded. I grabbed the keys for a rental car and walked out. Ah. Kai. As I approached Disney, I started getting nervous. I pulled into a parking spot and texted Kailey.

*Text messages*

Me: I'm here, where are you?
Kailey: I'm in front of Chef Mickeys.
Me: okay, I'll be there soon.
Kailey: okay! Please hurry!

*End of text messages*

I shoved my phone into my pocket and gave the guy my admission money and walked in. I soon found Chef Mickeys. I saw Kai sitting there. She looks so flawless.

{Kailey's POV}

I sat in Chef Mickeys waiting for Carter. After about 15 minutes I saw Carter. He looked so cute. He took a seat across from me.

"Hey, Carter," I said.

"Hey Kai," Carter responded. "Did you already order?"

"Uh. No," I said.

"Oh, okay." He said. It was awkward. You could practically cut the tension with a knife.

"Hi loves, how may I help you?" A really pretty waitress asked. Carter was checking her out. He wasn't even being subtle about it.

"Uh, yeah, can I have your chicken burger please?" Carter asked.

"Mmm-hmm!" She hummed and wrote it down. "And for you, miss?"

"I'll just have chicken tenders," I said. She smiled and left.

"So, uhm," Carter started. "You really want to get back together?"

"Yeah, Carter, I do," I said nervously.

"I just don't know of I can trust you again, Kai. I really miss you, but you cheated on me, with my best friend. Ya know? If I cheated on you, you wouldn't even be thinking about getting back together with me," he said. It was true.

"But, it was a one time thing!" I admitted. 

"Kai, I don't know," he said scratching the back of his neck. "Maybe we should just be friends."

"Carter, don't do this, please! You know we're a great couple!" I said.

"We were pretty great, but Kai, you really hurt me," he admitted. "I think we should just be friends. It's best for us right now."

"Carter," I started but couldn't finish because I was crying. Carter got up from the table and made his way to my side.

"Hey, it's okay! Don't cry!" He said rubbing small circles on my back.

"It's not gonna be fine, Carter! I miss you!" I said. My sleeves were sliding up my arms revealing cuts.

"Kai..." He started.

"Don't lecture me, please, I know it's wrong, but everything in my life has been shitty since I cheated on you, and I didn't have anyone to talk to about this, because you were the only one I could trust with this stuff, and you left. You left just like everyone else!" I said crying harder.

"Hey, please stop, Kai, I miss you, but you could've called me, I'm always just a phone call away, and even though we were fighting, I would have answered, okay? Kai I love you so much, you don't have any clue!" Carter said.

"Carter, I want you back. I want us back!" I said.

"I want us back too," he said. I looked up at him and a smile was on his face.

"You do?" I asked.

"Yes, Kai, I love you so much, and I don't know how much more I can handle, ya know, not being with you," he said. I smiled. He pulled me into a hug. everything felt right again. Like the world was back in place.
