More months passed. Yan Da let the council became more agitated and desperate. Ka Suo trusts her so he didn't question her actions.

Currently, she was in her room. Caring for Xiao Yu, the poor boy had caught something nasty and has on and off fever now and then. Yan Da lovingly brushed the stray hair off the child's face.

Suddenly, the door opened.

"How is he?" Ka Suo asked, standing behind his wife. Worry evident in his blue eyes. Yan Da sighed, stroking the child's cheek. "He's getting worse every day. I'm afraid..."

"No. He is a strong boy. He'll survive this." Ka Suo said, crouching down and kissing the boy's forehead. Yan Da smiled, enjoying the silence for a while...

Then, she stood up. "Let's go." She said, surprising Ka Suo.

"Huh?"

Yan Da smirked, meeting his husband's eyes. "The council called didn't they?"

Ka Suo smiled, letting out a small laughed. "There's no getting pass you."

"Of course. Ka Suo, you trust me right?"

"Yes."

"Then... let me handle this one." She told him before leaving the room.

In the meeting room...

"Your Majesties," the council quickly said, greeting the Ice King and the Ice Queen.

"You may all sit down." Yan Da said. Hearing that, the council bowed. Following her order.

"I know that for the past months you've been patiently waiting for the good news. And, I thank you for that. However, due to some circumstances Ka Suo and I decided to not have children yet." Yan Da stated, looking the council in the eyes.

"But Your Majesty..."

Yan Da smiled, making the council stop talking. "I understand your concerns but remember that there are still a lot for me to settle especially in my own tribe. Which would be difficult for me to do so, if I'm carrying a child."

Silence swept the room. The members of council looked at each, silently communicating. Not long, they made a decision. "Then Your Majesty, we have a suggestion."

Yan Da's eyes glinted in victory. "Speak."

"If you permit and His Highness will agree, we want him to take a concubine."

Yan Da's eyes narrowed, putting up a show. "A concubine?"

The council squirmed under her gaze.

Yan Da met Ka Suo's gaze. She squeezed his hands, reassuring him. "Leave us for a minute."

"Of course, Your Majesty." Said the council, leaving the room.

When they are gone...

"Yan Da, you're not really considering this are you?" Ka Suo asked, frowning. Yan Da laughed, hugging him.

"It's going to be fine. You said you'll leave this to me," She said, letting him go.

"But a concubine..."

Yan Da lift her hand up, caressing his cheek softly and giving him a comforting smile. "Trust me."

Meeting her gaze, Ka Suo's eyes softened. He could see the honesty and sincere care for him in them. Promising him something...

"Okay." He said, kissing the inside of her palm.

"That's all I need to hear," His Queen said, calling the council back in.

"Before I tell you our decision, I have two conditions." Yan Da firmly stated. Subtly, telling the council that there's no room for argument.

"What is Your Highness?"

"First, never use the term concubine in front of me again. If there will be another woman in the throne, then I want her to be treated with the same respect as I am. Therefore, she is not a concubine but the second queen."

"But that means..."

Yan Da smiled. "Yes, His Majesty and her will be married. Any disagreement?"

"None, Your Majesty," the council replied.

"Good. Second, I want the second queen to be chosen by me."

Hearing that, the council was about to protest but Yan Da's commanding gaze stopped them.

"By that, Queen Yan Da you already have someone in mind don't you?"

*Knock* *Knock*

Yan Da smiled, hearing that. Perfect timing.

"Queen Yan Da, it's me."

Ka Suo's eyes widened, recognizing the voice. Yan Da bit her lip, trying not to laugh at her husband's expression.

"As a matter of fact, I do." She said to the council. She then faced the door. "You may come in."

Not long, the door opened. Revealing Li Luo.

"The envoy guardian!?" the council exclaimed in shocked and protest.

Yan Da ignored their protest. She just calmly walked towards the confuse envoy guardian, offering her hand to her.

Li Luo's confuse but seeing the comforting smile on the Queen's face. She accepted her hand.

"The envoy guardians had been loyal to the Ice Tribe for years. Serving and protecting us. Don't you think it's time to show our appreciation?" Yan Da said to the baffled council.

Hearing that, the council relented. All agreeing to Her demands. When it was only three of them that were left in the room, she let out a relieved sigh.

"Yan Da..." Ka Suo said, getting the Queen's attention.

Yan Da grinned, noticing his and Li Luo's expression. "What's with those expressions? And here I was , thinking that both of you will be happy." She said, pursing her lips.

Ka Suo and Li Luo looked at each other. Of course they're happy but...

"Are you really okay with this Your Highness?"

Yan Da winched. "Ya, don't call me that from now on. Call me by my name."

Li Luo smiled. "Sorry, Yan Da."

"And Yes, I'm fine with this. I know that you two love one another so much. I never did want to get in between you two. If not for our tribes..."

"I should leave. You two talk." She continued before leaving the two lovers alone.

Outside...

Yan Da leaned on the wall. At least, those two could be legally together from now on.

But how about that one heart? How can I help her?
