~Avery~

I teleported back home in a weird but cheery mood. I opened the door to my house and stepped inside, only to be greeted by a delicious smell of freshly baked pie. Apple caramel pie, to be exact. Did I mention it was my favorite? But mom rarely ever bakes... Usually when there's pie there's also--

"Yo Avery!" called a familiar voice. Ahh, Blake.

"Hey, Blake! Your mom's here isn't she? I smell pie." I smiled. Everytime Blake's mom would come over, she would always bring something sweet. And, since she is Eraveth's finest baker, her pastries are the best.

"Yup, we made your favorite."

"! You're home!" And the next thing I knew, two gentle arms engulfed me in a warm hug. "My, my, you look tired! You need some pie." Sylvia, Blake's mom and my second mother, gave me a smile as she led me to the table where a delicious pie was sitting right there, calling my name. Gosh, I didn't realize how hungry I was.

"Yum.." I said, looking at the freshly baked pie. I took a fork from the side, thank God for the food, and began devouring the delicious heaven.

"Man, someone's hungry. Save some for ice cream night later." Blake chuckled.

"Wait, that's tonight?" I asked.

"Avery, are you growing old too fast? Yes, it's tonight. You're so forgetful!" he teased.

"Hey, I'm just exhausted! Lovesick humans are not easy to find." I stated.

"Uhh, did you forget? I work too! I go to Earth five times a week for the sake of love!" he dramatically said, putting a hand to his chest.

Sylvia sighed, a loving smile on her face. "You two grew up way too fast. It seems like only yesterday when Blake was in diapers, crying because he p--"

"Mom! C'mon, no one wants to hear that!" Blake exclaimed, cutting off his mother's statement.

"Aww, I remember that! Oooh! And remember Avery and Blake's first fight? They wouldn't talk to each other because Angel wanted to play with dolls and Blake wanted to play with cars. So cute." Mom said, suddenly appearing out of nowhere.

"Mom! Please. Let's not go back to our childhood." I said, giving her a look.

"Ooh! And remember when they were learning to fly? They had a mini contest. When Blake was falling down because he was tired, he grabbed Avery's foot! Bringing her down too!"

"Mom!" Blake whined.

"I remember! They wouldn't stop crying."

And this went on and on. No matter how much we try to get out moms to shut up, they wouldn't. Eventually, Blake and I couldn't stand it anymore.

"How 'bout we go get some ice cream now?" He offered.

"Yeah, that sounds good. Let's get out of here." I accepted immediately.

"Ugh.. How can you eat that?" I asked Blake once we where seated at our table.

"What else am I supposed to do with ice cream? Watch it melt?" Blake answered with a roll of his eyes.

We were now in 'Frozen Treats' our favorite ice cream shop ever, and the very place our friendship began. It's actually a weird story on how we met.

"Mom! Please! I really want some ice cream!" I remember my 4-year old self begging my mom. It was really hot and I wanted something cold. Even if it wasn't hot, I would still beg for some ice cream anyway.
