After a good 10 minutes, I finally plucked the courage to leave the bathroom. I crept down the stairs in the short boxers and t-shirt and I was struck with the aroma of bacon. My stomach grumbled but I ignored its calls. I followed the smell, seeing Callum in the kitchen at the stove, flipping bacon with a hard expression on his face. Matthew was sitting on a counter, flipping through a newspaper and Will was snooping around in the fridge. Although they were all in the same room, they appeared to not be acknowledging one another. They were acting as if there was nobody else in the room, and it made me shudder, thinking that this may have been my fault. Guilt washed through me as I struggled to breathe. My short breathing must have been noisy because all three brothers simultaneously sprung up their heads to look at me. My breath suddenly caught in my throat as I stayed shell shocked at their synchronised movement. I was overwhelmed by their beauty and it made my knees wobble.
I gave a weak smile and I headed over to the empty chair beside Matthew. Well this is awkward, I thought. They all kept their eyes fixed on me while I walked, which made me feel so self conscious.
As usual, fate decided to fight against me as I managed to trip over thin air and plummet to the ground. I felt the wind slam against me as I hit the tiled floor hard. I squeezed my eyes shut tight, praying that I could just undo the last 4 seconds. I stayed sprawled onto the ground, as I waited for time to reverse.
Nothing.
After seconds of pure silence with only the sound of crackling bacon, the boys erupted in laughter. They laughed and chuckled as I stayed on the ground, red faced. It took another 6 seconds before somebody could show chivalry and lift me up from the floor. Even after being a gentleman, Matthew almost dropped me on the floor because he was so weak with laughter. I stomped to the chair and sat down securely, shooting a glare at all of them.
Although, there was a good side. You could practically see the tension being lifted in the room, before it hung and weighed us down. I was just happy everything was back to normal, even if it meant that I had to sacrifice my dignity.
"Yeah, laugh it up bitches... Ha ha. So funny." I yelled humourlessly.
After about a minute of more laughter and 2 and a half demonstrations from Will of how exactly I fell, the bacon was ready and dished onto 4 plates, with toast on the side and a glass of orange juice. Wait, did they expect me to eat right beside them? I always found that so awkward. Not to mention that I eat like a pig!
"And who told you that I wanted to eat, Mister?" I asked Callum, crossing my arms stubbornly. I still hadn't gotten over the fact that they made so much fun of me.
"You must be hungry, you didn't eat last night so you have to eat now." He replied, tucking into his own food.
"Well what if I'm not hungry?" I persisted. I was hoping he would just give up on me and leave me to not eat. I would just eat at home, later, where nobody would see me. Callum sighed, dropped his fork and stared at me with his emerald green eyes, looking at me directly.
"So you're meaning to tell me that the fact that you was almost killed yesterday afternoon, you didn't eat last night and my delicious plate of cooking sitting in front of you doesn't make you the slightest bit hungry? You're stomach isn't rumbling?" He asked quizzically, waiting for a response
Right on time, my stomach rumbled loudly. Curse my stupid, traitorous digestive system! He gave an arrogant smirk as I groaned in defeat. Lifting up the fork and putting some of the food in my mouth, an array of flavours danced on my tastebuds. "Mmmmm!" I grumbled aloud as I habitually tucked into the food quickly, my self consciousness flying out of the window.
"Damn, I've never seen a girl eat as manly as you!" Will commented, both shocked and impressed. I stabbed my fork in his direction and mumbled a shut up to him.

After another discussion on how I defied the laws of physics with my fall, all of our food was finished and it was time for me to make a move on home.
I changed into one of Will's t-shirts and I wore my jeans as Matthew offered to give me a ride home.
I waved Will and Callum goodbye and I climbed into Matthew's jeep. Matthew had still not uttered a word to me, as he climbed into the front seat with a torn look on his face.
He didn't look at me once, his grey eyes fixated on the clear road ahead. I took this as an opportunity to avoid awkward silence by sticking my headphones in my ears and pretending to listen to music on my iPod that wasn't even on.
A couple of minutes later, I'd had enough. I was going to confront him about his negative attitude. I opened my mouth to speak, but he opened his mouth at the same time. I abruptly closed my mouth, as he looked at me with a sad expression on his face.
"Look, Aaliyah," he started.

Well... This is going to be interesting.

A/N: heyyyaa heyaaa so I hope you enjoy reading this chapter!! And yes I've been wrting everything from my iPod because my laptop is being funny, but that's how devoted I am to my few/small number of fans!
Well anyhoo, I hope this chapter is up to your expectations, And the action is soon to return! Thanks for reading!

Liz <3
